Let's leaven the mood by remembering this...

This was the club badge when I first started going to Ewood in the 60's - it was on decals in the Nuttall St stand for sure & started being used on the programme (replacing the town crest) in 67/68. The Tudor rose badge is the first (non-town crest) badge I recall on the shirt - replaced eventually by "the club badge".

Someone at the club (probably in marketing) has said something along the lines of Marketing Guru: "If we market another blue & white halved shirt it won't sell as well as a differentiated product will...there is a belief that we wore a white shirt once...we should produce a white shirt as the anniversary kit then we don't cannibalise sales of this season's home kit..." SP: "Make sure you bump the price..." MG: "On it..."

I agree with this entirely - the kit consultation group (that was almost entirely ignored) made this exact point...I wanted the Bob Crompton shirt for our anniversary kit...we might have to do a BRFCS version then eh ? 😉

Agreed…he can rightly criticise Steve Dale, Dai Yongge & Chansiri so by comparison, Venky’s look supportive. If they owned Brighton his view would be different.
