  1. Remember when he went on trial at West Brom and a few went ‘AHA told you he was rated’ He ended up getting relegated with Bolton instead
  2. Easy solution Get Zoolander in to replace Benny Ben Bennington and reach him to do a full pivot to the right, surprised nobody thought of it sooner
  3. Wonder if we’ll get contract (or lack of) news tomorrow, suppose it’s not like there’s any fans for the likes of DG to say bye to anyway
  4. Chaddy - you’ve just picked two players that Mowbray picks and have an inside track on their attitudes, that’s just pure conjecture and putting 2 and 2 together. It wasn’t too long back that Travis was accused of having a billy big shot attitude, again we have no idea if it’s true or not
  5. Chapman isn’t as good as Raheem Sterling, may as well not bother then
  6. Nonsense He didn’t drop in the ‘pHiL bRoWn’ trolling bit Amazing how people stick to the ‘who else is there?’ Line but ignore when there are viable alternatives, anyone decent is dismissed in the following categories: ‘Failed at x/y/z’ ‘Wouldn’t come here’ ‘Wouldn’t work with Venkys’ Ignoring the fact the same people would have probably said the same about any prospective manager during Bowyer / Lambert / Coyles terms. At some point we have to be brave, no appointment would be a guaranteed success but standing still forever is also a recipe for disaster long term
  7. Oh I know it’s a non starter for various reasons not to mention those clubs without a youth set up but just trying to find a positive from the potentially daft 5 subs nonsense How long until we get permanent drinks breaks with adverts thrown in?
  8. Just hid over 2 pages of bickering Apologies if any posts got lost in the collateral
  9. On Chappy I think @roversfan99 has it spot on. We know what he did in his first stint here, we also know that for whatever reason Mowbray hasn’t been keen to play him but all that is irrelevant to an extent. What is pertinent is that on Saturday he came on, got into some good positions, looked dangerous and then put a peach of a cross in for the winning goal. On that basis he should be in contention to start it not at least get on the pitch
  10. Whilst I think this rule is daft I would really like it if there was a way to implement that 2 of the 5 (or at least a number of the subs) had to be players that have come through the ranks it would be a huge benefit to english football and increase the potential for the likes of Buckley, Vale and let’s say Travis 18 months ago, where they probably graduate from youth football but not quite regular in the first team. Impractical and hard to manage but I think there’s something there if people cleverer than I could suss it out.
  11. Yep but the deduction will be this season or never if they win at appeal
  12. Most likely fake news, EFL say this season https://www.efl.com/news/2020/july/efl-statement-ongoing-disciplinary-proceedings/
  13. According to the EFL just now it would be this season https://www.efl.com/news/2020/july/efl-statement-ongoing-disciplinary-proceedings/
  14. EFL statement confirm it will be this season https://www.efl.com/news/2020/july/efl-statement-ongoing-disciplinary-proceedings/
  15. Aren’t we cashing in on Buckley for £10m this summer? Thought I read that here.... He seems to have grown into himself as the seasons gone on, idiotic red card aside he looks more composed. Big season for him next season one way or another
  16. Wigan vs Fulham will be fascinating. Fulham’s automatic prospects are slim but alive, They have to go for a win at full strength but if they hear the teams above them are coasting do the players ease it to protect themselves from injuries for the play offs. It will suit Morsy down to a tee, can see Wigan winning if it turns into a scrap
  17. Looks like Bournemouth joining us next season, be interesting to see how they cope as they’ve been a premier league team a good few years now
  18. I think we’ll win, they have pressure on them, we have none which is when we play at our best
  19. We can see what’s in front of us though, if you want to take stats the one I worked out earlier is That since the restart Walton has faced 36 shots on target and conceded 15 times. So he’s let in 42% of shots on target in those 8 games, that’s shite. He May one day become an ok keeper but he’s average at best currently I know I’ve said it before and it’s anecdotal evidence but I have severe doubts about Benny Ben Benson, I just don’t see how he can have the lived experiences to coach a young goalkeeper
  20. Fulham have something to play for as well, slim chance but still a chance they can finish second Should be some game with a draw being no good for either
  21. According to sky sports stats, since the restart the opposition have had 36 shots on target and we have conceded 15 goals, we’ve let in 42% of shots on target, it’s really poor. Ta ta and good luck Walton
  22. So now Wigan (pretty safe) are down if they fail to beat Fulham who could still come top two, even if they beat them they’ll be down if Luton beat us
  23. Strikers scoring, Chapman assisting, if only this was early in the season!
