  1. Whilst I think it’s two points clearly dropped again I think we’ll know more after Saturday With the last two fixtures and this weekends we will have had one really tough game on paper and two where you would definitely want 3 points, Preston one where you would want to win and 2 stinkers. Currently they have 3 points from those games whilst we have 2, I think it’s key that after Saturday we have closed the gap so nothing less than a win will be good enough and would likely result in a 1 or 2 point swing over the 3 games. If we finish the week 3 points or more behind Preston then it will have been a bit of a failure of a week for me. I don’t think Stoke really parked the bus last night and probably looked the more likely to score for most of the first half, second they were happy with a point but we didn’t do nearly enough to put that in jeopardy. Saturday will be more open and can see us scoring 2 or 3 but we will be exposed at the other end as well, Ayew is always capable of giving you a tough time when on form.
  2. Funny how we all see it different, Bell was one of our better players for me, put 4-5 really decent balls into good areas that just weren’t attacked and won a few corners on top. Both he and Nyambe looked our most likely route to something happening
  3. Their 26 against a booked Lenihan is a worry; he’s a real handful
  4. Need to wake up here they were sleeping then, shocking defending followed by an equally bad clearance from the keeper a minute or two ago as well Read the game well there though
  5. Daft daft booking for Darragh, clear as day and he had cover
  6. Snow falling in cherry tree Doubt there will be nearly enough to jeopardise the game but it’s going to be a minging walk down!
  7. Chance to go above Bristol and within 2 of Preston and Brentford. Could shape the rest of the season this one
  8. Tonight has gone a bit too perfectly Win tomorrow and I’ll be worried I may need to cancel that holiday in May!
  9. Brentford and Preston losing, full time now please
  10. He’s playing well at the moment for sure, not sure if he’s improving or just in a good spell of form we’ll see over the rest of the season, I said earlier I’d have him as backup but at the moment he’s Certainly looking better than that. Certainly wouldn’t want just him and Leutwiler as our senior keepers next season though stronger competition would be needed.
  11. By the same metric you could ‘prove’ there’s was a penalty by showing that two of ours put their arms on their guy impeding him. The above is nonsense but there is no proving either way, it’s a non issue though both were soft and both were given
  12. The Preston result puts a dampener on the day but this was our toughest game for a few whilst theirs are to come
  13. I’m not blaming him as I said it may have gone in either way I just think a keeper wants to make it as hard as possible to be beaten at the near post from that angle however there are exceptions and the power on that strike meant it probably would have gone past anyway
  14. The irony being Chaddy is staunchly against VAR, either you accept mistakes will be made or accept the sterilised version with every decision reviewed There’s no perfect solution where refs become superhuman and get everything right
  15. I thought Raya was awful for our first, class finish but Raya made it an easy decision, bouncing ball and keeper off his line
  16. Yep may have flown in anyway it was that sweet a strike Half times going our way
  17. Whilst it’s a stunning strike I do think Walton lost his bearings a bit, shouldn’t be central there but I don’t think a shot first time was anticipated by anyone
  18. The Raya one for me is similar to an outfield player winning a header then flattening a player on the landing, sometimes a foul will he given harshly other times not. Either way both were given, both scored, evened up, both teams had 90 minutes to alter the score line before and after
  19. Surprised the liner didn’t flag just before our penalty looked borderline
  20. Of course you thought ours was a penalty, sure you would have done up the other end too! I've never seen you disagree with a decision that favoured us to be fair I think ours was soft, not a penalty and I don't think he gives theirs if he hadn't given ours as it clearly wasn't a penalty so it evens out. I also thought the linesmen got their calls right today.
  21. Expected a point, got a point, could have been more, could have been less to be fair. Two soft penalties evened it up and some weak finishing by both teams or it could have gone either way. We still can't seem to break that glass ceiling and sit in a play off spot even for a few hours!
  22. I actually don't think either keeper has made any incredible saves today, both made a few smart stops but nothing you wouldn't expect your keeper to, some weak finishing by both teams at times Walton been solid though more so than Raya
