  1. How is that not a penalty? Shocker from the ref, would have been a red card too
  2. Much better than the last couple of games, a comedy of errors by Tosin, Walton and then Buckley a minute or two back though Another goal would crush them I think PNE 2 down as well
  3. Argh that’s frustrating Two very winnable games and we revert to type, seems as a club we buckle when we get close to the play offs
  4. Get in there Wouldn’t usually fancy Arma from the spot but that’s two scored from two isn’t it?
  5. Sounds like the first half justified my decision to stay home today, hope I miss a belting second half
  6. I think Chappers should get a go on the bench at least, another goal last week in the under 23s. Maybe a good time to mix it up after the disappointing display on Monday. Lets get back to winning ways
  7. Ah the familiar feeling of deflation. At kick off there was a buzz around, anticipation in the air, that was gone by 15 minutes. Nobody did well in an attacking sense, Nyambe our main avenue of attack and he wasn’t on form himself. For some reason our first instinct today seemed to be to turn back, we must have got away with 3-4 suicidal passes at the back. A word on the ref and the Wigan fans, both small league shithouses and they should disappear back there asap. With all that said ignore me and ignore this post as I clearly know nothing about football as I thought ‘Man of the Match’ Travis was among the worst of a bad bunch. Still we didn’t have to deal with seeing them celebrate a winner and they are still going down so that’s nice
  8. Why won’t Walton ever try and give it early, even if it flies out of play it’s worth a try
  9. Just a bit lacking at the moment; second best after a big penalty call early Still feel we will get into gear at some point
  10. Really looking forward to this now Had a night in London with the wife and kids, got to Euston and got evacuated so thought we may miss it but back on track now! Lets stuff them, 4-1 Rovers
  11. Ah I just presumed nobody up there would have as shoddy a goal difference as ours but I stand corrected
  12. Not sure we can? Bristol and Sheff Wednesday play tomorrow meaning we can’t go above both of them Edit Swansea now winking so we can’t go above them either sadly
  13. 2 goals for Buckley 1 goal and 2 assists for Chapman Good times
  14. Emnes V Wigan was a special goal, great ball by Steele then ridiculous control and skill by Emnes
  15. Would I rather be in Rovers position now rather than Wigan’s? 100% yes Would I rather we came 1st and Wigan 2nd in league one? Also yes, the two aren’t mutually exclusive! Just like getting into a university of choice, of course the main thing is getting the minimum grades but who wouldn’t rather get A* across the board to reflect the hard work over the years. Surely you always strive for the best possible. Seems odd to suggest winning the league wouldn’t have been better
  16. With all due respect Chaddy....... Theres not a chance in hell you wouldn’t have been delighted to have won the league Yes getting promoted was key but winning the league would have been the perfect scenario. That 2 goal lead thrown away to them and the Charlton game were missed opportunities.
  17. I thought that until I read this post! Im not sure if I made mine up or not but I remember David Speedie once coming out of the tunnel wearing a skirt
  18. Gutted this isn’t Saturday as not sure I can make it now as we’re in London on Monday and may not be back in time My confidence about a win worries me so I’ll try and stay cautious, at this point every win is huge though, looking at the teams above us Preston away at Cardiff Brentford away at West Brom Forest away at Huddersfield Fulham home to Leeds Sheff Wednesday at home to Bristol City Some tough games amongst them Theres a real chance we could go into the game knowing a win will take us into the playoff spots, a win would definitely take us above one of Wednesday or Bristol City Regardless of that outcome (but not both) Traditionally we mess it up but we’ve been breaking tradition recently, lots of selection dilemmas of the good variety for once as well!
  19. I still think that Boris was being punished for being out on the night of the Tom Lawrence / Keogh incident. He bossed his first few games here then was out of favour, think maybe his lifestyle may hold him back slightly. What a strike that was though. Loved the move today when Nyambe absolutely blitzed down the wing, cut it back to Travis who then slid it in to Holtby on the overlap (we won’t mention the cross shot), some great movement in recent weeks off the ball
  20. Brilliant start, we’ve been flying out of the blocks recently
  21. Got to try new things at times though, may not always come off
  22. Well with no Dack it may be Tony taking the chance to try something different should he leave in January Couldn’t predict where they all will play but keen to see how Gally and Brereton do together; £13m of Young British talent Could be a slightly obscure master stroke here 2-1 rovers
  23. Yep me and Mates used to predict it and like clockwork Dunny would get an invisible injury ever year around this time
