  1. Rest in Peace Fernando Ricksen What an awful disease I can’t imagine having to face that
  2. Magloire not making the Rochdale bench these days it seems
  3. Looks like Tony’s pep talk has backfired (only playing devils advocate after folk claimed his goals last week as a victory for monwbrays approach with him)
  4. Armstrong wound me up yesterday and seemed to drive Mowbray crazy Last few minutes they were all up in attack, ball came to him in our half with 3 or 4 of ours heading forward and he just hoofed it aimlessly, a real lazy move
  5. I think it’s unfair to say Tosin was lazy, I thought he played really well but like Kasey Palmer has a somewhat languid style, gets around effortlessly; the antithesis of a Dunn who looked to be busting a gut but in reality the end result isn’t any different. He never seemed in any danger but as a result has you on edge in case he over plays it, can’t remember him doing anything that put us in danger though
  6. They were 1-0 up in 4 minutes, went 2-1 down after 25 so brought Lowe on to sort it....
  7. Not a great game but a very good win, we created a lot in the second half and could have had a few, they were probably the better team first half. Buckley was very poor and the shape in the first half didn’t look right nothing stuck up top. Rothwell very lively along with Gallagher when they came on, Armstrong a passenger
  8. Bright start to this half, still very open Cursing him here but Walton looking good
  9. Stunning goal aside we’ve been second best Need to start offering something up front and Buckley looking weak
  10. Benno stopped a clear goal then Tosin wants to play about at the back with it, obviously influenced by City’s ways
  11. Loved Matty one of my all time favourites but I have to confess I always believed he wasn’t wearing a helmet and perhaps even felt a little bitter towards him for it. Remember after a midweek game at Anfield the world was at his feet, measured up for flight socks and then it all went horrifically wrong. Also remember him scoring in one of Hughes early games and we all thought he was back
  12. Been away a few weeks so looking forward to this one. I caught the last home win and thought we played pretty well and saw some of the Hull game but not seen anything since. As long as we don’t launch balls at Danny Shittu for 90 minutes we should be ok here
  13. I’ve said before that he needed a new coach maybe. I was potentially being harsh on benson as I know nothing about him but he wasn’t improving, his instincts remained superb but the finer arts of the goalkeeping craft weren’t there.
  14. Talking of postcodes and support I’d be interested to see how Rishton has changed since the 90’s. When I was growing up it was heavily Rovers but it seems an almost 50/50 split now with increasing numbers of Burnley fans! A few have probably drifted to Stanley as well
  15. Pretty sure someone on here predicted that exact thing a week or so ago
  16. Glad to see Barnes do well, local lad, St Paul’s Feniscowles I think
  17. What are the chances the dropped games will be forgotten about with no further punishment now? Should be a minimum of another 6 points off for the two games postponed
  18. What a bloody win that is, perfect away performance
  19. That save could be huge, exactly what Walton needed
  20. And also assuming the club get the pies and beer for free
  21. I’ve realised who Johnson reminds me of. Its Jermaine Jones, full of energy throwing himself into tackles, you accept a fair share of bookings will come his way as part of the package
  22. Found this tweet interesting: Spurs new stadium stays open after the game, people genuinely seem to stay around having a beer and socialising there
  23. Not to dwell on a negative but Walton was lucky today for that one he came and missed
  24. Second half created a few good chances, Buckley set one up for Rothwell and had a good chance himself that he skied A move towards the end of the game was glorious but a block came in Better signs for sure
