Yeah but if you ignore the results, and the performances then the ‘numbers’ show we are doing well I believe the team that finishes outside the top ten with the highest xG goes into the preliminary rounds for the Intertoto cup and gets a £25 Subway voucher

xG is just a silly pseudo science, this isn’t baseball, cricket or American Football, stats to that level of detail just don’t tell the story in football. We may have won 1 in 15 but the ‘numbers’ suggest we are better, no, it doesn’t work like that. Whatever numbers; stats or whatever you want to overlay the proof is irrefutable, the manager is not getting the results.
