  1. Surely he just made it impossible for Tony to send him out That’s his place now!
  2. Bloody great win - we never do it easy do we but we got there
  3. We look quite happy to timewaste now Need to be smarter than we have been though
  4. Dack absolutely livid to be brought off, as random as they come that one
  5. Brilliant from Armstrong and then Dack Thats what Armstrong should be doing, great goal
  6. Just said I’d have Mulgrew in the box not taking corners and he plants it in the top corner He achieved what Gamst wanted to! Twice! Brilliant!
  7. I just think he’s fearless, he’ll make mistakes for sure but who doesn’t in this team; he deserves a run there now nobody else is exactly demanding that spot
  8. Great start but we’ve got more nervous as it’s gone on, some of our decision making at the back is scary! Graham should have scored at least one I’d be tempted to change him for Brereton soon Both left wingers have the beating of their full back but their guy seems to make the right decision more than Arma Think we’ll win this one, won’t be easy mind!
  9. Travis is class, his athleticism alone puts him above Smallwood and Evans but he’s also turning defence into attack
  10. Funny game this we are matching them but at the same time we look terrified of them when they attack; their movement isn’t being tracked at all
  11. Graham missed two great chances, Travis, Arma and Bell started really well here
  12. No requests for illegal links to the game today please chaps; we’ve had to hide a lot of it recently and would rather leave it at that
  13. Some inconsiderate sod has made the school run harder for me for the foreseeable! Glad Travis retains his hard earned place, Smallwood has helped Mowbray there! Would have preferred to see Palmer or Rothwell over Armstrong myself
  14. Lovely to see a post from you Roversmum - happy new year to you and yours! May be feisty today with Rodriguez you have to feel he’ll be on the wind up
  15. I have it on good authority that he’s going to do a Bentley and celebrate his deal with a breakout performance!
  16. From what I’ve seen of Saturday Travis and Palmer deserve to keep their places but I worry that the result will make Tony be more reserved although I imagine Travis will play until Smallwood is back
  17. Finished it now, wanted to give Jonny Williams a hug, he just seemed so lonely when he was leaving the training ground like he wanted someone to stop him. Nice to see that these people we praise or throw abuse at at still humans with very human sensitivity’s even if they have millions in the bank. Thought Coleman came across as a real gent as well even if he failed in his mission there
  18. Watching a couple more episodes now, amazing how each game they seem to change keeper and each one is absolutely awful
  19. Not at the £15m quoted in summer I’d imagine, he’s scored goals in this league but watching scouts may have not seen enough to go that far
  20. He looks to have all the tools and potential to be great, at times I’ve thought his decision making to be suspect but that’s to be expected and something that comes in time. I do wonder if there was an attitude issue that Mowbray wanted to sort out. I seem to recall he was given some time off after the transfer window closed but in fairness him being disappointed not to get a loan move to play football is the attitude you would want imo! Part of me wonders if Tony and his slightly old school ways means he doesn’t appreciate some of the ways of today’s youth, it was a throw away comment but I remember being a bit taken aback at the supporters meeting back in June when he said he dismissed a good player as a target when he came to his office wearing ripped jeans, a cap and had tattoos up his arms
  21. I actually think we’ll win the next game, a reaction is needed to ease the pressure
  22. Thought it was worth looking back on December and the chances missed and how it’s gone south! 1st December home v Sheffield Wednesday 4-2 win December started well with a relatively routine win over Wednesday bar a couple of scares with goals conceded 8th December away at Middlesbrough 1-1 draw A point would have been respectable here but they were down to 10 men and we went 1-0 up after 15 or so minutes only to sit back and concede, 2 points dropped! 15th December home to Birmingham 2-2 draw 2-0 up and coasting to a routine win then 2 goals in a matter of minutes late on and another 2 points dropped! 22nd December home to Norwich 0 - 1 loss A scrappy game and one that was pretty even for the most part until we made our subs including one of the worst cameos I can recall From Brereton and another late goal and us not threatening afterwards resulted in a loss, potentially another point thrown away. 26th December away at Leeds 3-2 loss Another tough place to go but again we were in a great position with 2 set piece Mulgrew goals getting us into a 90th minute lead only to then somehow concede 2 in injury time and come away with nothing! 29th December away at Sheffield United 3-0 loss Mass changes for this one and at half time it looked good with the players that came in performing, they then go down to 10 men and we make subs and then it all goes wrong with smallwood getting sent off and us conceding 3 in quick succession, another point (or more) slipped away! It’s grim looking back, in every game we’ve been in a great position to get a positive result and have come away with 5 points from the month and we’ve thrown away up to 9 points from strong positions! I know we have had a thread about where to go from here but I’m just wondering what’s gone wrong there, too much for it all to be coincidental, is it fitness? Complacency?
