  1. Just hid over 2 pages of bickering Apologies if any posts got lost in the collateral
  2. On Chappy I think @roversfan99 has it spot on. We know what he did in his first stint here, we also know that for whatever reason Mowbray hasn’t been keen to play him but all that is irrelevant to an extent. What is pertinent is that on Saturday he came on, got into some good positions, looked dangerous and then put a peach of a cross in for the winning goal. On that basis he should be in contention to start it not at least get on the pitch
  3. Whilst I think this rule is daft I would really like it if there was a way to implement that 2 of the 5 (or at least a number of the subs) had to be players that have come through the ranks it would be a huge benefit to english football and increase the potential for the likes of Buckley, Vale and let’s say Travis 18 months ago, where they probably graduate from youth football but not quite regular in the first team. Impractical and hard to manage but I think there’s something there if people cleverer than I could suss it out.
  4. Yep but the deduction will be this season or never if they win at appeal
  5. Most likely fake news, EFL say this season https://www.efl.com/news/2020/july/efl-statement-ongoing-disciplinary-proceedings/
  6. According to the EFL just now it would be this season https://www.efl.com/news/2020/july/efl-statement-ongoing-disciplinary-proceedings/
  7. EFL statement confirm it will be this season https://www.efl.com/news/2020/july/efl-statement-ongoing-disciplinary-proceedings/
  8. Aren’t we cashing in on Buckley for £10m this summer? Thought I read that here.... He seems to have grown into himself as the seasons gone on, idiotic red card aside he looks more composed. Big season for him next season one way or another
  9. Wigan vs Fulham will be fascinating. Fulham’s automatic prospects are slim but alive, They have to go for a win at full strength but if they hear the teams above them are coasting do the players ease it to protect themselves from injuries for the play offs. It will suit Morsy down to a tee, can see Wigan winning if it turns into a scrap
  10. They just took the lead in injury time
  11. Looks like Bournemouth joining us next season, be interesting to see how they cope as they’ve been a premier league team a good few years now
  12. I think we’ll win, they have pressure on them, we have none which is when we play at our best
  13. We can see what’s in front of us though, if you want to take stats the one I worked out earlier is That since the restart Walton has faced 36 shots on target and conceded 15 times. So he’s let in 42% of shots on target in those 8 games, that’s shite. He May one day become an ok keeper but he’s average at best currently I know I’ve said it before and it’s anecdotal evidence but I have severe doubts about Benny Ben Benson, I just don’t see how he can have the lived experiences to coach a young goalkeeper
  14. Fulham have something to play for as well, slim chance but still a chance they can finish second Should be some game with a draw being no good for either
  15. According to sky sports stats, since the restart the opposition have had 36 shots on target and we have conceded 15 goals, we’ve let in 42% of shots on target, it’s really poor. Ta ta and good luck Walton
  16. So now Wigan (pretty safe) are down if they fail to beat Fulham who could still come top two, even if they beat them they’ll be down if Luton beat us
  17. Strikers scoring, Chapman assisting, if only this was early in the season!
  18. No glaring errors, relatively composed
  19. Awful from Travis and JRC there I’d love to know how many shots on target we’ve had since the season restart I imagine we’ve conceded from nearly half of them edit sorry overly harsh on JRC, he went to ground too easy but Trav caused the issue
  20. A goal and an assist in this one he’s a player that seems to need a run of games
  21. But not if there’s a winner in the Luton and Hull game
  22. I wouldn’t class Wigan as pretty safe, best case scenario for them is Luton and Hull see out a draw today then they all end the day on effectively the same points with Wigan safe on goal difference going into the last game Then Wigan play Fulham who now have a chance of top 2, Hull have a tricky game at Cardiff and Luton host Rovers if Wigan were to lose and one other team draw they’d be down, or a draw and a rival win, a win today would have had them safe
