  1. The club have just released a statement from Tony, a plea to keep fans on side and continue the backing, can’t argue with any of it I presume they have picked up on some concern from the weekend and know that Tony is super popular and it’s a good way to try and stop the murmurs of concern, as always he comes across as a great human and someone easy to like: https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2018/november/tonys-plea-to-fans/ Edit my apologies it seems it was from Thursday
  2. If ever we needed a midweek game it’s now, under Mowbray I can’t recall us having many consistent bad runs and tend to bounce back quickly. A somewhat mystifying team selection followed by a 2-1 win
  3. Even if the players brought in had more of an impact I think it was a howler and uncharacteristic awful man management in the handling of Nuttall and Travis. Both have just wasted a good half a season and lost any momentum they had at crucial parts of their careers. Since the window closed I think Trav has had about 20 minutes and Nuttall not even made the bench.
  4. Not sure how much I buy the stuff about Graham not training, Rich Sharpe has him down in his predicted line up so it certainly doesn’t seem something that was mentioned at the presser, a wildcard tactical gamble that failed.
  5. He’s just had a two week rest! I do agree though to an extent, the problem is he is so good that we base a system around him and when he doesn’t perform we struggle. Go back to the old fashioned two up top and give Brereton a go with Graham next game
  6. Sending Palmer back would be daft, even if he’s only on the bench I don’t see better players waiting in the wings. Rothwell looks more dynamic but so far has produced less. You have to wonder if Brereton isn’t the player we thought we had signed, the hype video and half time introduction hinted at our new main man yet he won’t even play him when our only other striker isn’t deemed fit. What happened to that Moore lad that was at Rotherham once? He was a big lump in the Kuqi mould but looked handy.
  7. Problem is playing a midfielder up front does nothing for their confidence or the strikers they are in ahead of
  8. I also preferred it two weeks ago when Nyambe was the Namibian Cafu
  9. I do wonder about the free school tickets thing, they obviously still do it but I remember back 10-15 years maybe there was an obvious noise from them in some games. They used to be top of the top tier of the Blackburn end and quite a lot, I wonder if the take up is less or less are offered now?
  10. TM on Bradley Dack: "He has come a long way really quickly. "He came at a very low number from Gillingham and we have now given him a new deal. "I'm hoping I will be going to Steve pretty soon and saying we will be giving Bradley another year and a few more quid and feel among the higher earners in the team." so Bradley isn’t currently amongst the top earners in the team? Surely it’s not still Evans
  11. I think it would be harsh to blame Lincoln here, if he was good enough he’d be playing for them they’d have no reason not to!
  12. What is everyone’s favourite Tesco? Mine is the one at Accrington although I used to be partial to the homestore at the Capitol Centre My favourite Asda however is over at Wigan Robin Retail park I don’t have a favourite post office - used to be Rishton back in the day
  13. I genuinely now want a Chaddyvision documentary - I’m starting the appeal now for a podcast special Also nobody should ever go to Blackburn Vue, the one at the Middlebrook (and Preston) is £5 or so for any film any time and every seat is a new recliner. Also also if you don’t buy an Ice Blast at the cinema you are doing it wrong. In summary Rovers should purchase ice blast machines, recliners and I want to see ‘The Only Way is Chaddy’
  14. Sam Hart got Rochdales player of the month
  15. I don’t think they were lucky, we were perhaps unlucky not to win but they did the job they came to do, keeper made some big saves which he is there to do
  16. Thought he was going to get his first goal yesterday, he’s always looked like having the attributes but he’s developing a swagger to go with it.
  17. I think Rothwell is a good little player and deserves a go but thought he was pretty poor yesterday in his brief time his passes seemed a yard behind where they should be. He’s much better than the player I thought he’d be when he signed though and like Dack and Palmer one of our few players who will see the ball coming to them and be looking to make something happen rather than just passing it back to the middle, frustrating and obvious when it doesn’t come off but I like the drive to make it happen.
  18. I had an eye on the dugout just before the goal, Rothwell was coming on but Brereton hadn’t been sent to warm up and was still sat with his jacket on
  19. These two statements are slightly contradictory, of course you could say that the subs the manager made got us the points, or you could say the lineup in the first place was wrong. All up for debate but I liked the lineup today although I perhaps would have given Raya the week off and would have been happy to see Big Ben start. Nice break now and I’d be hoping that Brereton is given the nod against Preston.
  20. Nobody it’s the same as every time we don’t win, far more people talk about the negativity than actual negativity
  21. I actually think Palmer would do better in a different side, his problem is Dack is too good and he isn’t Dack. As such he’s playing out wide and he hasn’t yet learned how to be fully effective as a winger, Brereton has a similar issue in that he won’t be deployed as a striker as we can’t play 2 up top AND Dacky. Its a nice ‘problem’ to have of course
  22. He played a big part in creating a few chances, one great flick on with his head (I’d say behind Graham He’s probably our most useful attacker in the air), one where he dropped deep turned a defender and turned defence into attack and a couple of brillIant balls in behind the defence to Nyambe to put good crosses in, few more as well. Armstrong looked dangerous today but I think he’s too greedy, looks to shoot every time and apart from his worldie effort was wasteful today more often than not.
