I tend to think Rothwells electricity and directness may be more effective from the bench but the lad deserves a chance to start. Really glad to see Mowbray be brave and wield the axe after a loss.
-
Hardly - we also went to see her at Royal Albert Hall in 2016!
-
I see this after every loss on twitter People go on and on about people overreacting talks of giving heads wobbles and all that but often there’s barely any over reaction! Surely disappointment at a loss is pretty natural

Feels like a big game that could set the tone, need to get back on top. I remember one enjoyable trip there when one of their players scored an own goal from outside the box although recently I feel as though we lose more than we win against them. Cant comment on last night but feel Palmer should be ahead of Armstrong but Rothwell ahead of both.

Interesting that you didn’t extend the same courtesy to Kasey Palmer, you wrote him off after 3 or 4 games! His fault or not Brereton is a huge signing for us, wth that comes expectation and rightfully so. I’d love to see him get a run of games but at the moment he couldn’t do the job Graham does for the team and Tony favours one up front with Dack, makes you wonder if the right kind of attacker was targeted and would the money have been better spent on someone who would be a natural attacking threat from out wide.

Safe to say Kylie performed better than Rovers tonight, not too sad for missing that one!
-
I’m not sure I know what a Level 42 is!
-
Disappointing to be missing tonight; booked a concert for the wife (I won’t say which one - concert that is; I only have one wife) months ago and the one time it’s a midweek home game on a Wednesday rather than Tuesday I miss it! Think we will win, can see big Darragh scoring tonight after he was linked with them before. Out if interest do they still have that Hennegan lad they signed before we did, he never seemed to feature

With all the clamour around Bruce I didn’t realise they were above us and only 2 points from the Play offs
-
Funny result - both Preston and villa will be gutted with that one
-
Yep if Armstrong was brave he could have lifted it over the keeper or knocked it around him for a nailed on penalty but he backed out What was slightly disappointing for me was that they equalised with a good ten minutes left then we were hanging on a bit, we didn’t threaten once after the goal.

I like to keep tabs on ex Rovers in this league to see how they are getting on. Lowe played a full 90 for Bolton in their win. Mahoney got on for half an hour from Brum After a superb cup Hattrick Rhodes will feel unlucky to only get 15 minutes today, Hanley and Marshall both out injured. No Gestede or Chapman in the Boro squad at all
-
Whilst it looks for sure like their guy dived the lack of reaction and the stumble from Rodwell makes me think there was contact of sorts. No way the ref can see it and the lino didn’t give it from his position
-
Nyambe was signalling to Mowbray before the sub, he only went down after they didn’t notice him. Thought Rodwell looked better than our centre half options and also out central midfield pairing. Actually thought Dack was pretty poor today too slow in getting back from offside positions, man of the match for me was Reed.

3 penalties in a week, have a word Darragh

But there would obviously be more staff on a matchday as there’s around 10,000 people around rather than the usual 4-5 at other times and plus the ticket sales are open for other games anyway so that argument is odd

I like the first it would also be interesting to see it like the first but in order of them happening. -

Palmer and conway come out of that well, great to see Conway bounce back after the Derby showing -
But you’d prefer Butterworth to Palmer (an assist and 3 goals this season) On Rodwell Tony has said he won’t be considering him for the league for a good while yet.
-
Mowbray has said he won’t be considered for a while for league games even if Mulgrew is out. Seems odd if he did well the other night but Mowbray sees him daily.
-
I understand at times people saying ‘they had the right to go down’ often there’s a foul, enough to disadvantage the striker and Make them lose the chance but not enough to knock them to the ground, the problem is the ref will hardly ever give the foul if they don’t hit the deck.
-
Now 3-2 going into 6 mins of injury time Stoke seem to finish a lot stronger than they start
-
Chapman got 15 for Boro last night, pleased for him getting some game time but selfishly hope he doesn’t impress too much so we can still pick him up cheap in Jan.
-
Some immediate reactions from that: -The first goal is on Palmer, not a winger and shouldn’t play there again if he can’t do that part of the job. Nearly scored again a bit later from the same side. -Some really sloppy play from Rothwell and Brereton after a great save from Raya - not sure it was a penalty but poor defending from Lenihan -nice to see Rodwell have a bit of a run at them - Cracking goal from Conway - Lovely penalty from Arma but he had 3 good chances he maybe should have done better with, the first one he could have played in Brereton - Williams was idiotic and showed why although he’s done well in the last game or two he isn’t a centre half

Why do we concede so many last minute goals?
Tom replied to Alex Rover's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I thought we were slightly unfortunate against Villa but that evened out and we were very fortunate not to concede again against Stoke. Not sure if we concede more than average or it’s just always noticeable when you concede in that fashion
