  1. Yep it’s boring now just confirm the replay, let us have a whinge and move on
  2. From what I saw it looked like they poked it a bit but at other grounds I’ve seen people literally running round almost sweeping the water off
  3. Probably wouldn’t help our cause that there was probably heading for 10 minutes of stoppage time (given the refs technical issues) and in the 5 games previously we’ve conceded 3 in injury time. Even with a man extra I don’t think many of us would have been thinking it was home and ‘dry’ at the time. There’s just no way we can be awarded the points sadly as far as I can see, whilst a replay seems unjust from our eyes at least we’d still have control of the outcome whereas just writing it off as a Rovers win can’t be fair to Ipswich. That said the obvious and most reasonable solution is the option to play the rest of the game but it feels like that won’t be in consideration
  4. Yep Ismael clearly hasn’t said he disagrees with the decision to call it off just that he wasn’t part of that decision. Seems to me like we are bracing for bad news and getting the statement out ahead of it there
  5. I can find a small issue yes; picking new teams with them 1-0 down they’d just start all their attacking players; nothing to lose. You want it as close to original game as possible really. I genuinely can’t see past a full rematch given the nuances
  6. There’s no chance we’d accept a point you’d just take the risk and go for all 3, Ipswich wouldn’t accept that result either. Never mind it’s changing the entire notion of 3 points for a win and 1 for a draw. Everyone is just throwing suggestions out but that is objectively a bad one for all. Then again I think a full replay and giving us 3 points are also bad decisions so the only real one is play out the last 15 or so
  7. That’s an everybody loses situation though
  8. Wonder if in the interest of fair play Ipswich would let us walk one in to effectively start at 1-0 - yeah right
  9. I actually think an appeal scenario would be more likely if they gave us the points
  10. Are you saying you don’t want a full list of customer service numbers?
  11. Presuming it will be replayed the club will be in a tough spot with regards to tickets, I can’t see them making it free for fans that had tickets as it would end up costing us but then the game was null and void. Wonder if there’s insurance that covers the club for the losses if they make it free? Presume Ipswich will make transport free
  12. It seems we’ve had very few midweek games so far, is there less this season or are they just bunched up together?
  13. At that point they’d obviously been told it was off the issue was our side didn’t announce it to the fans I’m of the opinion now that we’ll just got and win the rematch, life gives you lemons let’s make lemonade
  14. Apologies - only wading in there because it’s painful for everyone to have an ongoing discussion where one party doesn’t take into account anything put forward from the other side.
  15. Chaddy you don’t do yourself any favours lad. Between this and the politics thread you are just showing you are impossible to have a reasonable discussion with even when evidence shows otherwise you repeat the same lines and refuse to accept what the contrary evidence shows. You’d get more credit if you just conceded a bit sometimes.
  16. But it’s still part of the pitch. I thought they tended to test multiple parts but I’m sure @arbitro can confirm
  17. This would be intentional as the pitch is only as playable as the worst part of it
  18. It’s clearly not playable here I actually don’t think giving us the win is a fair outcome but replaying in full definitely isn’t, it really should be last 10-15 replayed at 11 v 10
  19. United pitch is holding up Today is infuriating but as others said not sure we can blame the referee or their manager it looked unplayable
  20. He’s not wrong though if you are an away fan you are always going to wind up the opposition in those circumstances and you wouldn’t be sad at the manager and players trying to get the game off
  21. Did we have one called off mid game away in league one? I wasn’t there but feel it was somewhere like Gillingham in absolutely freezing looking conditions
  22. And them doing ‘Klinsman’s’ in the puddles, I was only a lad but got very angry in the Walkersteel!
  23. In non rain related news how did the new lad play in the middle?
  24. No interviews with managers as the decision on a replay is by a panel and they can’t be seen to try and influence it
  25. He’ll be sacked by then and they be on the charge no doubt
