  1. Never been a Trek fan but have heard mixed reviews. Tonight I watched Welcome home Roscoe Jenkins, I found it quite funny and any film with James Earl Jones and Michael Clarke Duncan in is good in my books. Going to watch the inevitably awful 'Superhero movie' later just to laugh at how bad it is.
  2. Is seniors the one in Thornton? I think I went there when I was working at Cleveleys a bit back, very good. I'm a Clayton street man myself, was brought up going every Saturday lunch.
  3. Ramblings forgiven, I'm a huge Benni fan, give him a chance and he will score.
  4. Knowing our luck if we combined the two it would be someone slow and overweight who can't finish
  5. I think its a half decent return for the games he's played, if all our striker chipped in with the same ratio we'd be ok.
  6. Blue Phil say what you like but Benni has been head and shoulders above the rest of our forwards this season. Nobody at the club is nearly as good a finisher as he is. I could understand the criticism if he was tubby and not scoring but he still is getting the goals.
  7. I find some humour in the irony that Shearer lamented him for it, Shearers tackle on Lennon was it was one of the worst 'tackles' I've ever seen in honesty. All in all he would improve our team but I hate him and hope h doesn't sign, if he does however I wont have a hissy fit over it.
  8. Watched a few horrors recently of varying quality, here goes: [Rec] - I can't recommend this highly enough, great film, Blair witch meets zombie but it's actually decent. Not had as many frights in a long time. I should point out its Spanish with english titles and was remade by Hollywood as 'quarantine'. Mum and Dad - a low budget english horror, good in parts but not an easy watch especially the Christmas scene. Defo worth a watch if you come across it. Imagine the Royle family with torture. Shrooms - avoid at all costs, a bunch of annoying Americans go to Ireland on a drug holiday, predictable and copys from countless films.
  9. As I said in the OPLH thread Wenger is great in my opinion and is up behind fergie as the greatest manager of the generation. I admire his football ideals and policies, not so much his moaning though.
  10. I hate the man and would hate him here BUT the fact remains he is better than any of our current midfielders. Whilst I wouldnt boycott thw matches if he comes I can't support him as a man but will still go to support the club i love.
  11. This refs been a good un' tonight, Ronaldo has been up to his usual tricks but the refs not falling for it, the little git still gets away with his temper tantrums every time he goes down. He does this countless times every game along with Rooneys rants yet United always get high points in the respect to officials part of the fair play league, the mind boggles.
  12. Great goal by Ronaldo however Torres' was better as it was a much much harder technique
  13. Applied for access to the Michael Jackson pre sale tickets for his shows at the O2 in july, I expect the shows to be a car crash but if there's a tiny chance he'll put on a show like he used to it's not one to be missed. Doubt I'll be lucky enough to get tickets though.
  14. See I am a big wrestling fan (I know, I know) and I have mixed feeling about LoW, it's just about perfect until the bell rings. The engine isn't great and I don't like the controls but I may buy it when cheap just for the Relive mode.
  15. Guide village is OK but it feels like you're eating in someones lounge. On the strength of this thread I tried Duk and it was bloody brilliant. Next to try is Bukhara for sure thanks for the tips.
  16. I watched The Wrestler last week, now I'm a big wrestling fan so enjoyed certain bits and subtle nods more than most will but on the whole the film is brilliant. Rourke has to win an Oscar he is superb in it, he did a perfect job as Randy the Ram. Even if you don't like wrestling don't be put off it is more a character study than a wrestling film.
  17. He made me laugh with his description of his celebration, basically he had no idea where to go so just carried on running.
  18. I noticed he seems to be playing with a smile on his face again. Long may it continue, he is genuinely one of the most exciting Rovers players to watch in a long time when on song. One other thing was apparent agaisnt Man City, there is clearly no lack of team spirit, you could tell just how happy all the lads were for robers when he got his goal.
