    Howard Kendall

Saddened to hear Howard has passed away aged 69. I'm too young to have seen his time here but I know people look back with great memories.
  2. Along with the Henning Berg red card that has to be the most angry I've ever been at a referee at Ewood, ridiculous. Anyway that video reminded me, for such a good keeper Flowers was awful on free kicks he seems to dive without his hands
  3. I would love battlefront if it was a solo game, just not keen on multiplayer and would rather have a campaign
  4. I use a employee benefits thing at work so it's £5.50 a ticket at vue or we often go to kids am for £1.75 each but They can be a bit manic
  5. I would say pretty much every post in pirate lingo is gimmick posting - and I love pirates! But yeah, no more of it.
  6. Last warning on the gimmick posting or you will marooned on banned island!
  7. 3-0 at the moment Taylor, Petshi and Forrester with the goals with a superb assist by Mahoney apparently.
  8. Take solace in that even when we are bad we don't look nearly as bad as Charlton did today; lethargic and just generally bad
  9. Right brfcs do at yodas place it is
  10. Up to 18th where's that promotion thread?
  11. Balti house isn't cheap but the best all rounder around by far IMO Unless it's purely a curry then Akash at accy wins
  12. yep a friend of mine took it over she used to run St Johns Tavern on the Boulevard 8 years or so ago
  13. I didn't in my youth but me and my son like it, there's quite a few children's spin offs that he loves
  14. Everything so far about the new Star Wars looks on point, very optimistic, hope it isn't a let down.
  15. Spot on going at 4:30
  16. Cheers mucker we were planning to go about 5:30 so may try and bring it forward Is it just a buffet?
  17. Italian is hit and miss for me, I love a freshly made tortellini a la creme but all too often I go to a place and try a pasta that sounds nice and end up wth something you can make easily and just as good at home. Trying Shajan again on Sunday, looking forward to that its always been a favourite of mine (if it's not too busy, the standard drops when busy)
  18. It's just not the same, Clayton street chippy mid 90's is still the holy grail of fish and chips for me. We used to go every Saturday before a rovers game and eat in.
  19. Finally got round to watching the second captain America, great stuff better than Avengers Assemble for me
  20. Inside out was superb as was the short before it. Pixar knocking it out of the park again but sadly their next effort looks like being a dud.
  21. We fancied going for a curry buffet on Sunday and since our usual Darwen haunt was no more looked for an alternative. Ended up as Akash and was pleasantly surprised; we only tried what was on the buffet menu for the day ( shami kebab, onion Bhaji; aloo pakora, tikka masala, lamb buhna and some other mild chicken dish, garlic nan and veg rice - all served at your table and as much as you want) but it was all lovely. I noticed some of the staff from Reshs were there so not sure if the chefs have gone too. Will definitely try again
  22. Watched Jurassic World this week, full of daft situations, dafter characters and the daftest of the daft of plots but I really enjoyed it. Just makes you smile.
  23. Possibly not but would game of thrones be popular without Lord of the rings?
  24. I've been on a quest to find a frying pan!
  25. I got the witcher at the weekend it seems great so far although a little daunting at first due to the scale of it all
