Lots of things can be true and exist at the same time. For me it’s quite simple, fuck the owners, fuck the way they ‘run’ the club, and fuck any player unprofessional enough to down tools and force a move. Slightly uncouth and blunt maybe but so be it, the lad will move on, but I won’t particularly wish him well and would have a wry smile if it went tits up for him.

He has been first choice where he’s been, improved his wages and his exposure I’d say. I doubt he’s progressed as Spurs hoped and may not make it there but he’ll find a first team spot at our level no worries
