  1. Could be effective with Gueye playing in Kargbo / Ohashi Not sure it’s any worse than 782 passes around the back with no aim which Pep has inflicted on us all
  2. I actually don’t think we were shafted to be honest. He’s an unreal player and one that will move for a fee that will eclipse what we got for him - if he stays injury free, but he had to have an initial move up to the premier league to realise his true value. Unless we got promoted I don’t think we’d have got all that much more for him. I think his only obstacle is his own body now, hope he isn’t plagued by injuries.
  3. Is Gueye’s native language French? (I did check but Senegal has quite a lot of languages). May help Big Mak as well if so. Like all Rovers fans I just really really hope it works out
  4. Dilan got a start tonight - subbed after 16 minutes when his teammate got sent off sadly
  5. I’d take working in the short term for sure
  6. Mr Benson will forever hang on in there “We must also say a big thank you to David Lowe, Damien Johnson, Ben Benson, Mike Sheron and Paul Butler for all their support during the interim period and they will form part of Valérien’s backroom staff at the Senior Training Centre going forward.”
  7. Welcome aboard and good luck to him
  8. Apart from the red card is Joseph looking good? Seeing his name on the scoresheet a bit
  9. Summon the chaddometer!
  10. Consider me simply ‘whelmed’ I have a view that there is actually very very few good managers over a career out there, shown by some of the names we’ve been linked with we would have been delighted with at one stage of their career including Ismael, Karanka and Wagner. Most of them will have a couple of jobs it works out in and more where it just doesn’t. We’ve gone for an easy option who may well have peaked early and now need a big chunk of luck in the hope it works out here. It does show me that we probably hoped to ride it out long enough just to give it to Lowe as this appointment could have been made within a couple of days of Eustace going.
  11. Them winning the championship at Ewood certainly wasn’t nice for Rovers but it didn’t have too much impact on us, either team beating the other in the playoffs celebrating whilst at the same time dumping their rivals out would be a far bigger win for either team there’s no doubt about that. Not going to happen mind
  12. I’ve never seen the Kool-Aid consumed quite so earnestly!
  13. And Sunderland don’t really matter as they are above us, hope to be wrong but feel the slide into mid table has begun
  14. I think it’s become a lot more hypothetical
  15. You’ve got to throw caution to the wind and make the subs but Lowe has shown with the line up that he’s not the sort for that
  16. People wanted to give it Lowe, this is exactly why you don’t do that Abysmal
  17. It’s one thing keeping Hedges but playing him was always a flaw of Eustace and now it’s on Lowe, there’s literally a handful of better options available
  18. I really don’t have the same hostility towards Derby or Eustace that most seem to have, I don’t care if they stay up or go down. In my mind history won’t have Eustace as a villain in our story
  19. Our favourite Irishman back on the bench is good to see but worrying that Lowe would play Weimann and Hedges ahead of Kargbo that seems very conservative Feels the kind of game we usually lose so hoping for a pleasant shock today
  20. Cracking goal to be fair though
  21. watching Burnley they have some ridiculous luck in not conceding
  22. Saw a random post that said the same on Facebook - wonder if there’s something in it or just another rumour going round
  23. Football fans are fickle, just before the West Brom game it was full on anger at the club and sympathy for Eustace, win a couple of games and all that is forgotten and Eustace is a snake (handily using an excuse that he didn’t say when he heard about the Derby interest) Waggott has the luck of the devil
