Listening on radio Lancashire Andy Bayes (I think) spent ages pre game whinging about the refs lack of game time, then said how bad Pickerings challenge was and how it could have been a red and followed up with similar about their lad. Following that he said he’s let his inexperience show with the bookings. Make your mind up!

To be honest a lot of it is me wanting him to be better, loved his first few appearances and up to the Suspension. His brand of chaos made me smile. He’s not as good as I want him to be and isn’t showing enough but also genuinely don’t think he’s as bad as some of the criticism

Came on to see out a win, won a couple of headers in our own box (including one that he put out for a corner), a great flick on and did really well to bring that ball under control and drive into a shooting position, really poor effort and a clumsy booking though. Not the stuff of great finesse but did his job today

I’m glad I’m not subject to the rovers commentary too often, got loads of time for Yardley but the other guy is painful, is he a regular?

Battle of attrition, like a trip to the dentists you fight through and we came through it, disciplined. 3 half chances is all we created and Yuki should have made a better choice with the first but I thought both he and Gueye did well initially for their almost identical solo chances but both fluffed the finish.
