I worked in Preston for over a decade from 2001; never felt any rivalry at all, even when Jansen sealed promotion there it didn’t feel like getting one over on a rival. They were just another team. This manufactured rivalry is just bizarre to me. Anyway Friday night with a few beers watching the football, yet I’m not looking forward to it at all, the squad is looking seriously grim and feels like we are due for a bad Christmas period as always!

Weirdly the only thing I really remember from Rochina was him attempting a Rabona away at somewhere like Yeovil from outside the box. It looked impressive but highlighted he only had one foot! Exciting player to watch for sure though, clearly talented.

Was the minutes silence messed up? I always thought in the past it started and ended with the last post but they did it from the refs whistle, when he whistled again the crowd roars as they do but then during that the last post started.

It looks a game too far for our paper thin and weak squad. The likes of Alebiousou just look out of energy and they are stronger all across the park. I do regret being so close to the Derby fans who are in fine form whereas our fans are expectedly flat. The only thing left to look forward to this half is any potential surprise protest!

I didn’t miss the organisation at Ewood, took the lad in the shop to buy a kit but not enough people on the tills and huge queues. Went inside instead to get a pie and no pies left 20 before kick off!

Really bad news, really glad we’ve banked the 9 points recently. I don't rate Pears but he’s a below average championship keeper rather than an abysmal one. Protect him and it may be ok. Bloody long time though and bound to cost us some points.
