Neither were good today, Yuki fluffed a chance from 3 yards, Gueye had a silly effort from 45, not sure a battle of ‘which was least shit’ benefits anyone. I’d have both in ahead of Hedges any day but if it’s just one then Gueye looks better from the start and Yuki better off the bench

From what I’ve seen this season if Gueye is a available he should start, even if he’s not at his best he gives another dimension to the attack

My worry is that if it’s classed as violent conduct and a 3 game ban rather than 1, I do think it’s more a case of him trying to kick the ball away

The kick was before the bite though in fairness so there’s no mitigation for appeal other than he was merely trying to kick the ball away - which I think may be the case

I don’t expect them to be flawless so prefer to focus more on what we (the royal we) can make better I Do think the ref should be quizzed on his reaction to the bite, no doubt about Becks red but he clearly tells the ref he’s been bit, the evidence should be there to see and he should have at least consulted with the Lino

Always the refs fault For me Cantwells booking was ridiculous and he missed an obvious one for one of theirs but the bookings and red we did get otherwise were pretty obvious and most refs will give them. The bite is disgusting and will obviously be a long ban but he clearly hasn’t seen it or would have sent him off, either way Beck would have been off as well. Focus should be our inability to create anything today
