Whilst the lad is obviously hugely naturally gifted and has all the potential to be an elite player I’m not quite as high on the current A Wharton as most. I do attribute this to not seeing him in the flesh as much and for all his natural ability to pick a pass there’s been a slight tendency to play us into trouble at times but once that is coached out of him he’ll likely be a superstar. However potential is never guaranteed to be fulfilled, a few years ago Bradley Dack was weeks away from the premier league and injury ended it all.
