Problem is after seeing the injury the ref will know he’s messed up and may want to level it up -

Got away with one there it’s a penalty and maybe even a red -

Trouble is Travis hasn’t looked a 90 minute player recently and Davenport has rarely played that long so we could be stretched centrally later on -

Clear as day yellow for Davenport he’s got away with that Johnson off for Buckley who will at least get 80 minutes in a position he likes -

Thought there was a potential two footer early on from a Boro lad -

So we will end the game somewhere between 6 and 9 points off 6th place. Should it be 9 there shouldn’t even be an argument left for not changing manager! Think we’ll win this one, red card for them at some point -
As kick off time approaching this one seems more baffling, no rain; we’ve had a bit this afternoon but nothing bad at all. Theres no way we should have an unplayable pitch in these conditions

As evidenced by my own pictures up thread, park pitches are looking better

I posted pics of pleasy in the match thread, never looked better! Rain coming down now but the pictures of the pitches earlier looked shocking -
The pitch should get some respite now and get some remedial work done on it; when is the next home game?
-
And Pleasington, honestly never seen it looking better, the lack of games must be having an impact

Getting my lunchtime fresh air and this is the current state of the pitch on Green Lane a mile or so up the road from Ewood -
Just having a rainless Lunch time walk We should have just moved the game to the pitch just off Green Lane

Do I recall we have an issue with some sort of tanks under the pitch that can’t empty when the river is full extrapolating the issue? -

I’m in Cherry tree, our garden is wet but not under water by any means, we’ve certainly had much much worse rain and had games go ahead -

Embarrassing for a game to be called off 10 hours before kick off for a waterlogged pitch when it’s not even been particularly bad -
I live in Cherry tree and my garden is officially better than the Ewood pitch it seems. Very early for the game to be off, I’d be disappointed if we were Chorley never mind Rovers Ps Time to go still Tony

Mowbray took over with 15 games to go and us only 3 points from safety, hardly a lost cause, we had some bad luck in that run in but threw away a few games late on (ffs Gallagher) and had some awful performances to boot, remember Barnsley at home feeling like a surrender. When O’Neill took over at Stoke they were 6 points adrift, he had the January window but ultimately he succeeded. The only facts around our relegation season is we didn’t quite do enough. As you say, the facts don’t lie.

O’Neill thought the red card was harsh so does that mean it obviously was harsh? -

So the barometer for correct decisions is if a manager complains? You seem to have a varying level of evidence required for when a decision is in our favour compared to one that goes against us. -

This is before Elliott makes contact with it, at best it’s borderline but I think it goes out and I’m pretty sure you would have been certain of this had it been the other way around -
Quoted there as saying if he could pick between investing in the pitch and the squad he’ll pick the pitch and make the current squad work. He’s not only found himself a perfect excuse for underperforming now but nailed his excuse for the next couple of years at the same time. That’s some next level Teflon

In fairness you were staunchly against Big Sam (can’t pretend I was a huge fan of his towards the end either mind), we all have our own limits and beliefs as to when supporting the team starts and stops and when there is more at play. Personally i would now like the manager to leave tomorrow rightly or wrongly but I’m less bothered than I have been before, come out of here more through habit these days, sad times. -

It doesn’t work like that, it’s only a negative to Rovers, just like bad officials only go against us, and injuries
