  1. Pickering has to be replaced, he's just not good enough. No pace, poor one on one and gets caught out positionally. He will only be exposed further should we revert to a wing back system this season too.
  2. Well if we're going to sign him, this is the right time.
  3. Blimey....feel the irony. You couldn't wait to get on here and post after Mowbray won a do just to wind folk up. Never heard from you after a loss.
  4. Good lad Colt, same year as me. You were a pretty nondescript footy team for us Moorland lads and then you found a centre forward in about the 4th year. I'm sure you will know who I mean.
  5. Sharpe by name, sharp by nature. Journalism at it's finest.
  6. Heard Seville wanted him in January but it never came off. It'll be pretty much bang on I'd say
  7. You could replace Park with no-one and get the same amount of bodies through the door
  8. Dunno what the fuss is. I'm sure John 'the workaholic' Park left a list of potential players for us to sign that is as long as Mr. Tickle's arms.
  9. Don't worry about it mate. There's plenty on here who think we have the class of '96 ready to be unleashed this season.
  10. Make sure you get your consultancy fee chaddy....JHC.....
  11. One thing is for sure, our current full backs (Pickering and JRC) are well below the standard required. That's before we look at the threadbare CH department.
  12. Dunn scored a hat trick of penalties
  13. It's a strange one with Cantwell, I rated him very highly just over a season ago but he has regressed sharply. Looks like all his confidence has just gone. I wonder if we could help David Brooks rehabilitation on loan from Bournemouth? He was some player before his illness.
  14. Heard that is the least of their worries and that they may be facing an embargo due to some dodgy dealing.
  15. Appleton is a shite appointment for Blackpool. They could be in big trouble this season.
  16. How anyone can have even an ounce of confidence in the new manager after such an appalling recruitment process is beyond me. It's an utter disgrace.
  17. We'd have ripped them for Critchley's appointment way back when though and that didn't turn out badly - at least they have shown some clarity in their decision making. It's certainly more than the fucking idiots down at Ewood have. And, there's also an assumption we'll get better than Rosenior? I'd have that at 50/50 at best.
  18. I think a more pertinent question is 'why would Rooney risk his growing reputation at a basket case of a club like ours?'
  19. Why would any self respecting manager take this job when you have Pongo Lowe ratting you out to Suhail every chance he gets. Gonna go out on a limb here, whoever we do get is going to be shite and I doubt the new DoF lasts a year.
  20. So, in the last week, we have added about a dozen names to the 'shortlist', Merce has lost his house on Duncan Ferguson, Nicko has released 3 generic scoops and we've appointed an alien as DOF.
  21. "Well if there's a presser planned I suppose I'd better have my annual shower"
  22. I went in there before the UEFA cup game. One of the lads who came with us was a Rangers/Rovers fan and had The Sash as his ringtone. Got a little hairy when his wife rang him.
  23. Always remember Unsworth when he was caretaker manager for a while at Everton. Wore the suit, did every bit of press he could, talked up the owners and players while refusing to rule himself out for the permanent role even though he shouldn't have even been near the conversation. Unfortunately for him the performances and results were dogshit and he had zero support from the fans so was rightly binned off. I also remember the suggestion his longevity at the club was down to his close relationship with Kenwright and nothing to do with any coaching talent. Also recall a Joey Barton tweet absolutely slating him in this regard as being 'up Kenwright's arse'. Definitely one to avoid.
