  1. Thought Uncle Tony had let him have an early dart for more extended parental leave over the international break.
  2. Jesus Christ.... Yes Stuart why keep blaming her....
  3. Top 6 means nothing if we don't go up, we may as well be mid table. Top 6 is not success on it's own.
  4. Good on ya mate, I'm glad you're back to impart your wisdom after a good but scabby point. Your input has been missed after the last couple of defeats.
  5. What do 'football men' think of Ivan Toney Paul? Asking for a friend.
  6. It's a great point that in the circumstances.
  7. Well we've been playing with a false manager for a while so it makes sense
  8. Yes, ripped him a new one there, and rightly so.
  9. Thank God we've got to HT so Tony can address things tactically.
  10. I'd sub Pears now, I really would. He's a goal waiting to happen.
  11. Got to question Mowbray's decision not to hook Armstrong straight away on Saturday.
  12. Good post. You articulated my thoughts far better than I could. Think it'll be possession for possession's sake. No doubt he'll knock a few cracking 50 yard floating diagonals that show his quality but don't threaten the opposition.
  13. He had a loan spell at Rochdale last season where he played 2 league games. Also remember seeing him get hooked after 30 minutes in an FA cup tie for them after an appalling performance (think it was against Newcastle) where the lad Mattheson had an absolute stormer and subsequently signed for Wolves.
  14. Joe, you work in player stats, if you have those for Downing's km per game early and late in the season that will rebuff the argument. I'd certainly be interested in seeing them even though it's his sharpness that concerns me more.
  15. Downing was a very good footballer but unless he is cover for LB I don't see how he fits into a 4-3-3. I'm with those that think his legs have gone I'm afraid and a short passing high intensity style will pass him by in midfield.
  16. Was never really a Weller fan but the documentary on Sky Arts at the weekend "About the young idea" was superb stuff. Hardly surprising he wanted out at the time, hard to believe how hard working they were. 2 albums a year plus all the touring and promo.
  17. We could play 8 at the back but if you don't do the basics like marking and challenging it doesn't matter a jot. The personnel issues have been the same for 4 years now and the mistakes persist, unfortunately Mowbray won't give up on polishing turds.
  18. Gets us less than 50 points extrapolated over a season. Bona fide relegation form and 18 games is hardly a small sample. Got to be happy for the Wednesday points deduction and that Wycombe are a load of pony.
  19. Yes it is the same Caddis and what a goal it was, rifled in off the underside of the bar. Leutwiler saved a penalty that Mulgrew conceded for Fleetwood yesterday. Camps's goal was a cracker as well.
  20. Where is this arbitro? My daughter is on work placement as assistant physio at Frickley Athletic so that will go for a burton if true?
  21. A bit of dissent among the fans, a couple of games into the death spiral, I know exactly what is about to happen. The Mowbray flag will make a reappearance.
