  1. Not a sitter for Gallagher but my God he has to do better there
  2. No time for that pillock. All be does is laugh at his own comments and say 'it's just incredible' whenever he's talking about Kevin De Bruyne or City in general.
  3. I like the lad Forss who scored the first for Brentford as well. Took his goal well, strong decent pace and good in the air. He'll make a good living in the game.
  4. You surprise me Gav. My mum and dad always told me to 'stop skriking' as a kid.
  5. He's like a shit modern day Mickey Quinn. A proper alehouse footballer.
  6. I think there's a collective feeling among Rovers fans that we desperately want us to be the real deal after the last decade, hence the, IMO, over reaction of some. However, there's no doubt that the quality of football is hugely improved and our talented players are showcasing their skills in a formation that suits them. Cautiously optimistic should definitely be the case for us all so far.
  7. Bravo sir, absolutely bang on. And you got in there a good 8 months before me.
  8. He sways to the left He sways to the riiiiiiight Tyrhys Dolan left Nob End cos they're shite
  9. It's not just the passing though is it?Whereas Downing played at a more sedate pace, Holtby moves the ball quickly and generally forward, not just in our defensive third but in the attacking third also. So the tempo is automatically quicker and that is, for me, the main reason why we are performing so well.
  10. Been said earlier in this thread but the difference when the shackles are removed is like night and day. If we keep this mindset and keep our key players fit (and make a couple more shrewd acquisitions) who knows what we can achieve? Having been a fierce critic of Mowbray in the past I have to give him huge credit for how we're currently performing. Hats off to him and long may it continue.
  11. What a ball from Holtby there
  12. However, although he has his detractors, I can state with confidence that Holtby is the best footballer we currently have at the club and whatever we achieve this season will be in direct correlation to him being utilised correctly. Posted this at the start of the season, the lad is a class apart.
  13. Place where I work turns over in excess of 200 million p/a, our CEO is on far less than Waggott.
  14. How can he talk like this having just released the ultimate squad filler in that position, Sam Hart?
  15. Agreed. Makes you wonder why he publicly dug Raya out.
  16. It's Delinho Williamski. The fabled European scouting network have unearthed him. Exciting times.
  17. There is an argument for that as he would get on the ball more. However, for now I'd like him a bit further forward playing the killer pass. Holtby is just fine moving the ball forward quickly and setting the tempo.
  18. He came from PNE, We signed him on a free?
  19. Looking at the clubs who have loaned him I tend to agree. It's also quite telling that Everton fans used to call him Luke Garbage. On the subject of Everton though, with their excellent recruitment over the summer there look to be some proper players suddenly out of the first team picture. Probably out of our range but Tom Davies and Mason Holgate (if he's still there) spring to mind. Plus the left back Martina (having checked it looks like they have released him and he's a RB anyway!!) - he's a player.
  20. So now TM is intimating loans are 'dead money' at the end of the season unless they get you where you want to be and I totally agree with him. So the question is, what was he doing with the 3 expensive loans last season that probably did 3 million because there was no way we set our stall out to get promoted.
  21. Remiss of me not to mention Buckley as well. After being initially sceptical of him, more down to his physique, I'm now a big fan. It's a stark contrast to when the Academy churned out midfield athletes like J-Lo, this boy really can play. So comfortable on the ball, plays on the half turn, always looks to pass forward and has great vision. Got to find a way to get him in the team now.
  22. Great win and, in Dolan, we've got a real talent on our hands.
  23. But hey, they're paying the bills....
  24. Indeed. The people justifying the sale by saying (wrongly) everyone agreed it was a good deal are the same ones who would be crowing about it had he bombed at Brentford.
