Find this appointment a tad disappointing, if he really was the standout candidate out of 150 I find that quite depressing .. he wouldn’t have been my choice I thought there were better options out there but that said he is now the manager we have what 12 games left ? Let’s support the guy and the team and make a real effort to get in them playoffs

Disappointed if it is Ishmael just cannot see him as a) the tactical genius to win games or b) the inspiring figure head to lift spirits in and around the club

Out of the 2 I would slightly favour Wagner but it’s not a great choice really is it

I have Gerrard Carsley and O ‘Neill in my happy with .. interesting the line about 2 names not being in the public domain there i one name that hasn’t been discussed or linked with an interview and he’s is arguably the manager with the best CV in particular promotions from the championship ( 2 iirc ) and is currently out of work , the one we don’t want to talk about because he is ex Burnley

I think Carsley will have some support in the corridors of power because he is seen as a. Coach rather than a manager I honestly feel Gerrard would excite the fans and give the club some positive PR for a change but I am not sure he really is the best man for the job and his salary expectations will scare the life out of Swag , Russel Martin ticks boxes but if you thought JDT took risks playing out from the back Martin will have you having kittens . I don’t think Gary O’Neill isn’t the “coach” type they are looking for so… my gut feeling is it will be someone from abroad who probably isn’t really aware of all our failings as a football club , who is happy to coach and be dictated to regards playing stafff and is currently out of work I.e cheap

Be amazed if we end up with someone better than Gerrard … not saying he’s the next Brain Clough but when I see the likes of Wellens Warne and Ryan Lowe getting mentioned I fail to see how Gerrard is worse than them
