  1. Completely overrun, when we push up they pass around the back and bypass 4/5 players. We need Palmer and Dack to start showing more for the ball just to soak some pressure off the back line. Could be a long half!!
  2. Can only echo a few points covered by others, an enjoyable watch at Ewood yesterday. We played out a good game against a team that should have realistically walked all over us, but the tenacity and fight we have instilled in us meant that didn't happen, we are certainly far more LABORE than ARTE but by god it feels great to have at least one of those after the hell of the previous years. Things can obviously improve, we have 3 strikers trying to fit into 1 position and it is a real dilemma as none of them hold the ball up as well as Graham but they both have attributes that Graham doesn't have. We could probably all agree that playing them on the wing isn't the answer, the first half particularly Bell was regularly left two on one after Armstrong gave the ball away cheaply. Mowbray is paid the money to come up with the answer to that problem though.
  3. We got hammered the second half, maybe Mowbray showed them an Instagram slide show at half time.
  4. I’m afraid our Bradley is simply a very immature young man and his career will be defined by having a manager that can keep him on the straight and narrow, he simply doesn’t seem capable of doing so by his own steam and the company he keeps. I remember Bowyer encouraging Marshall to move out of Manchester to Hurst Green to keep him away from temptation during the week and his performances peaked as a result. I hope he gets a huge fine for bringing the club into disrepute and finally learns from it, I have my doubts about the latter.
  5. I have to admit I find the red button very poor, if I had any intention of going to a game whatsoever the red button wouldn’t tempt me not to go. Regarding Sky and their ever growing ways to make money out of customers, I received a letter from them last week saying I couldn’t carry on with my normal standard definition Sky Sports as they were scrapping it so I had to upgrade to HD. They are doing me a huge favour of only charging me £2 per month instead of £6 though, they are waiting 12 months for the full price!
  6. Apologies if previously posted but what has happened?
  7. That is about as bad as goals get! Tackled each other at their end, defence stands off and goalkeeper dives over one straight at him!
  8. Before the game I’d have taken a point, I’d have been pleased to see good organisation and high intensity and good fitness levels. All those boxes were ticked. My concerns would be giving away bad goals in this league will hurt you, goal difference relegated us last time! Also a concern would be playing the lads on the wings who don’t have any sort of defensive mindset, Nyambe and Williams got roasted at times yesterday. A few purchases this week all ready to make the match day squad is very much needed.
  9. SKY Bet the company that makes millions from transfer bets, after punters hearing the false stories that are made up on SKY sports news. Absolute snakes but hey the authorities love their cash!
  10. The problem with the quality players on loan is they are a very nice profitable side line for the big boys and a reason why they stockpile all the best youth players. A top quality Premier League youth player would have an astronomical loan fee, I feel the days of loaning out young lads to come back and get in the first team are thinning out, they simply are an extra revenue stream.
  11. I remember the Stanley chairman discussing this last year and he said it was a long standing vote agreement between the FL clubs that to maximise attendances the long distance games would be used for midweek games. He said losing 100’s of potential local away fans due to midweek commitments wasn’t worth the risk weighted against the probability that long distance travelling teams wouldn’t bring too many anyway. I’d guess the voting for long distance midweek travel was probably weighted heavier in league one and two.
  12. Rehabilitate “troublesome” scousers if we want to be pedantic.
  13. My desire to rehabilitate scousers at this club crashed and burned after Bradley Orr!
  14. What do people reckon with these new contracts? I’d guess at payrises for Lenihan and Dack, potentially their agents looking at release fees inserted. Graham holding out for two years, maybe even testing the waters for another club offering similar remuneration as us but for two years. Conway offered a lower wage for a bit part contract due to Whittingham taking the role of well paid midfielder that time has caught up with.
  15. I might be talking rubbish but don’t most contracts have a release amount? I can see the desire to reward his performances but I can see a higher stress on raising a release fee.
  16. I remember Mowbray saying at the end of last season he was almost a little happy Dack picked up an injury towards the end of last season so they could keep an eye on him over summer. I do think he very much has the ability to be a good championship player he just needs to keep his mind on the game, he reminds me a lot of Dunny with the ball at feet and finishing ability but like Dunny seems to be a man who likes a beer, women and hasn’t been blessed with a natural athletic physique.
  17. I’m a little surprised that Cairney has kicked on so much. I was always alarmed at just how one footed he was, he may well have improved on that as I don’t watch much football other than Rovers now but I thought he struggled when pressured due to his one footed play.
  18. No premiership pledge ... I’m out ?
  19. £110m debt and rising I heard last night. Very hard to see where they will go from here, the manager hasn’t seemed to give them “the bounce” and they still look like they will be saddled with a few Premier League wages next season (Rodwell £70k p/w as one). Coleman still hasn’t spoke to the owners since his arrival so that never bodes well for club cohesion as we well know. To top it off Jason Steele is their goalkeeper! I just hate football at times like these that those huge earners who have been terrible for them on the pitch will still be creaming in millions of pounds a year still. If the club is lucky to actually offload them they won’t go anywhere until they get paid some cash to marry up their current ridiculous wage to their new one or you have to pay them cash to go away ala Murphy, Etuhu, Best, Orr ... the list goes on grrrr!
  20. I've just seen the goals he conceded last night, I'd laugh if seeing awful goals weekly in our relegation season wasn't still so raw. You can't concede so often from the opponents first attack and win games!
  21. I see Steele has just conceded the four so far tonight for Sunderland!
  22. Our GD of -8 in comparison to Bristol City makes it more like 5 points too just for good measure, absolute nightmare! I know what you mean about some League One teams, a few were non league when we were taken over.
  23. It's all about dumbing down expectations so I thought Adkins could hopefully find some Southampton form and build us up from there and discount his last few roles. Then roll on Venkys Tony frickin Mowbray, I'm mad at myself for being shocked and mad!
  24. I'm staggered that the LT have felt the need to steal some quotes from another media source and run a story on that scum bag. This has me absolutely fuming, why, why, why run this story ?!?!?! Blackburn Rovers fans: being continuously kicked in the nads since 2010!
