  1. I'm sitting this one out this year. Will check in tomorrow, be brave ladies and gentleman. I've started the day in a bad mood and I've got a feeling Waggott and Rudy won't improve it!
  2. Watching from the 80th minute, if we don't have Trav or Tronstad in midfield we struggle to win another game. I thought we were going to blow that. Such a relief for a game we completely deserved to win overall.
  3. Keep that lad in and around the box. Him spraying balls around from the wing is madness!!!!!
  4. I bet Sky are absolutely devastated that they pumped all the money into this league. It is bloody awful for non followers of the league and it isn't great for the followers.
  5. The standard of goalkeeping has fallen off a cliff in the last few years. I'd say you see a clanger every round of fixtures even in the Premier League this season. I don't think Pears will be going anywhere but I'd also have said there is no chance on earth Christian Walton and Jason Steele would play in the Premier League. Shows what I know.
  6. You say it like they were on the interview panel. This is Venkys Blackburn Rovers you, I or no other fan has a say.
  7. Conway had a belting whip on him.
  8. If we could have signed two players just so they never scored against us it would be Emile Heskey and Nakki Wells. It's crazy how often they seem to have scored against us.
  9. Would it be terribly inconvenient for them to try and sign some people with however little money we do have? I'm not naive with our budgets it will highly likely be low, but you can forward plan and bring in the best you can with the little you have got. You can force the hand of a club desperate for finances. I get why we go late into deadline day because some decent quality players become available last minute when they are surplus at their club due to imcomings. BUT that doesn't mean you can not have some nearly pre agreed deals for the window opening when your squad was struggling and needing help by Jan 1st before the injuries really started.
  10. I wouldn't attribute Coventry had done their homework on Toth as such, I'd say they are just very good at set pieces. We've seen it at Ewood with them 2 seasons ago when they scored with the last kick of the game, they took a stream of some best corners I'd seen in a short period of play in that match.
  11. We really aren't far off needing those "bench filling youngsters". Fuck you Venkys!
  12. Just an expected January game at Rovers, the opponents stroll in and out of Ewood without getting out of 2nd gear. They did nothing yet looked absolutely comfortable in the game. A quick request to Steve and Co. Can we have a half season ticket starting at the start of the season and ending when you lot all wrap your tits in.
  13. Cantwell needs to realise very quickly we are in a dog fight for the rest of the season. The cavalry isn't coming!
  14. JRC trying to out do his pants effort for the first goal there.
  15. Watching Coventry wiping the ball in off corners and putting our defence under serious pressure further reminds me just how awful our set pieces have been for years.
  16. The Andy Bayes interview is bizarre, it has clarified that Eustace is "head coach not manager". I can with a degree of confidence assume that means he recommends players but it is then up to the fuckwits upstairs to agree then sign said players or generally sign who they want. I'm not sure why anybody would want to be head coach here, as every January when it's somebody else's job to back us we fall apart.
  17. Andy Bayes has confirmed on twitter as expected Mcfadzean is talking to another club. Garrett and O'Riodran will be going back out on loan. Obviously as even more expected he said nothing about incomings.
  18. There cannot be ANY football club in the land that has to deal with this shit year in year out. Players and manager busting their balls, January comes all of them desperate for help and they get the middle finger from the owners. Their shitbag mates making excuses for them in early Feb ... rinse and repeat.
  19. That turned into the game I think we all feared. Too much football for a squad without depth, our most important player now injured. Generally the only positive being Buckley had a better game than I thought he had in him these days. Bad day at the office.
  20. Really going to need to use the squad playing 3 games in 6 days. Eustace must surely have thought he would have had some more game ready signings in for this run of winnable fixtures. The players have seldom let us down this season, fatigue is going to catch up soon. I'd be very happy with a draw today.
  21. I said it after the derby defeat and it probably sounded like sour grapes but I stand by it, if we had been in the Premier League 8 out of the last 10 seasons and that was the quality of squad we had amassed I'd be gutted. Millions and millions spent and they never look like scoring.
  22. If you are a Dingle, James Trafford is a legend. The Sunderland lad looked petrified taking the first never mind the second pen.
  23. That rat bringing his son to the club was just a power flex. The lad was barely a professional footballer yet signed for a Premier League club. Yet Sky Sports give him an audience to cry his crocodile tears, I'm fizzing just thinking about it again.
  24. If I'm being absolutely honest, I've sat through every single transfer window thinking surely we are going to sign a goal scorer since we sold Adam Armstrong. I'm still waiting. I'm not even meaning a £10m striker, I mean taking a punt on League One or League Two's top goalscorers or something similar from abroad if we are skint. We have signed nobody with anything like a scoring record at any level for window after window. From past interviews Waggott always drips about how hard transfers are to do in January, so I'm just giving up now expecting one rather than refreshing twitter all day on deadline day thinking surely ...
  25. What are the chances that the "injured" Sigurdsson plays within a week of signing for a new club?
