Nothing surprises me with Waggott and his pricing. The only thing that actually does surprise me is that he hasn't really tried to maximise income yet and give Leeds etc the Jack Walker stand. He would try to spin it as being better for atmosphere ... I shouldn't give him ideas actually!

I've come to the conclusion that I'm just going to enjoy the wins regardless of the performance. We've got a team that tries but lacks overall quality, I think even though we lost Sammie making us weaker, overall we actually have a bench this season that makes the manager willing to make subs so we are a bit stronger. We will have some awful performances like the last 2 away games. We will have some games when all the inconsistent players click and have some really good wins. Overall it's going to be a season of grind. I can accept that with the chronic lack of investment the manager has to play with.

I think we are currently reaping the rewards of actually having a bench this season. In the 5 sub game, the opponents can sink you with the ability to freshen up with quality. I think that absolutely killed us last season.

When it's written down, it really does show how massively this club messed up the asset that BBD was. Although we all know the transfer fee received would have not come our way, so it kicked Venkys in the arse probably more so than the club.

We usually get to January when we are screaming for support to the strongest 11. It's resulted in the last two years in a some how blowing the play offs, followed by somehow staying up (well Sammie sorted that to be truthful!). Now this season we aren't past August and are screaming for strengthening. There cannot be many clubs run this way in the professional game.

I agree about it being low key too. I think it's down to both groups of fans deep down being willing to agree on a draw before hand. It's always a bad look when a manager chooses to put two keepers on the bench instead of an under 23/18s kid to prove a point. Would have preferred them this weekend than next as there may be more stability at the dingledome by then ... I pray there isn't though!

This is the boat I'm in too. Future value of Sammie means nothing to Premier League teams if for one season his goals add to the groups ability to stay in the league. Teams won't know how much they need those goals until the competitive games start. I honestly think he will score goals in the Premier League. 5-8 is a good Premier League return and I think he would be good for that.

I don't necessarily think it is pick on Pears per se, I think it's a measure of frustration that we have been after a keeper all summer, the manager is vocal about needing a new keeper and yet Pears played. I think to save the first would have been an excellent save, the second would have been a good save. I thought he did extremely well to save the cross - shot from the corner. My lasting frustration more than anything was coming and not getting a ball in his box again. You cannot teach decision making, this lad does not seem to be improving on that front what so ever.
