  1. To be honest whilst Venkys remain, Broughton, Waggott, et al are just distractions to the core of the problem.
  2. If we weren't going to struggle for season ticket sales before .... roll up Mr Eustace's corporate words of wisdom!!
  3. Thanks for the info Miller, I appreciate it. This may seem like a low ball question, but do you think Steve Waggott is doing a reasonable job? I'm not asking to trip you up, but I ultimately feel Steve Waggotts targets come ahead of the benefits to the team. Season tickets being the main one, him losing a few hundred grand off his target but gaining 3000/5000 fans would be better for the team but ultimately I get the feeling he would prefer the cash to hit his own numbers?
  4. Their season literally couldn't have gone any better in my eyes. The hope at the start, then they got smashed all over. Brilliant. They spent a fortune, yet finished the season with literally no player standing out, or gaining value. Brilliant. Kompany getting humbled. Brilliant! Their fans pretending they prefer to be in the Championship "for the derbies". Brilliant. Alan Pace wondering how the hell he going to refinance the club. Brilliant!!!!
  5. Completely agree, unless Sammie got the wrong side of the defence I don't think we broke on any team after Hedges got injured. It's quite frightening that Hedges is about the only player who can travel with the ball.
  6. I do like the under the cosh stuff, but sometimes find Chris Brown gets a bit anti Rovers fans due to him being absolutely shite when he played here. In the Tim Sherwood interview, he mentions that Rovers fans still have expectations of being Premier League Champions. I always find that a huge insult.
  7. It's all on us now, Norwich ain't doing us a favour watching them pass it around the back.
  8. Eustace's Rovers categorically deserve to be relegated, we only have a chance due to the points JDT amassed. If we do stay up, I pray that this positive and togetherness mindset has been pushed so hard due to the weakness of the players mentality. I hope that he is actually critical of how things have gone, with also pointing out things that are out of his control, like having no strikers or having an inability to make attacking changes due to his bench consisting of a Germen 4th tier striker and a Brighton under 23. I want him to be critical of how many points his goalkeeper's have lost him. If he says he is happy with how things have gone, I'm petrified for next season whichever league we are in.
  9. It affected the January window, the court case still hasn't been heard but it won't affect the summer window. Something doesn't seem to ring true, surely you must see that.
  10. This is a very similar thought of me and my family too. There is absolutely no point in carrying on if we are not going to reinvest at least 25% of sales back into the playing squad. At most clubs the sale of your top assets is a blow, but creates some excitement with the possibilities of who will be coming in and what direction we will go. Selling top assets to pay bills is suicide, we after the names above have gone, we have no assets of value left.
  11. I've seen numerous people state the games we won at places with big attendances, so I'm not digging you out here Chaddy. The games you and others mentioned are games we didn't fall behind in. We have a weak underbelly, you are loyal to the core and I commend that but its a fact even the most diehard fan has to accept we often collapse when behind. With this weakness in mind, giving the opposition a lift (note I'm not saying the bigger crowd was detrimental to our players) by having a huge following in what was always going to be a close game was a terrible idea.
  12. I just read Rich Sharpe's article, 18 points from the last 19 games is our home record. That is absolutely abhorrent!! The sweethearts must really dislike being challenged by the crowd.
  13. It's a built in behaviour with these players. I've lost count of how many pre match press conferences I've heard whilst under Eustace, when the players come out with this bile about the fans needing to back them. It's actually offensive, as I genuinely believe the players are well backed in relation to have much shite the fans have to chomp on regarding the running of the club. It's an easy excuse, a cowardly excuse.
  14. I thought he shanked the ball in for the third. Watching it back on the reply I realised he actually knee'd it in when turning around, then half arsed went after it. Awful!
  15. This group cannot handle pressure. Simply they cannot handle the pressure of being behind. The current and previous manager have been categorically unable to turn games around. Recently we played very well against Leeds and Southampton, we never went behind. Equally we were absolutely atrocious against Sheff Wed and Bristol City, both teams that are equal if not of a lower standard but could find no way to turn up. Very, very worrying.
  16. I know what has been said, my point is he knew very well what division we would be in last July when the talks started. He may well sign, I hope he does but it has taken a very long time.
  17. I've just read an article from mid July 2023 saying we are well into negotiations with Dolan. These are some long old negotiations! Can't help but think, we are getting a year extension then he walks for free.
  18. I hammered them midweek and rightly so. I'm so proud of them today though!! I questioned their minerals, they answered that. They do it without any subs which is no mean feat against teams with big squads. Super ball play by the front 3 for the goal, simple but effective football! Great Sammie finish. Defence did a great job, was good to see Carter back.
  19. The thing that was most galling was the first two goals came from just literally walloping the ball to our defenders, for them to inexplicably fail to do the simplest thing in the game, kicking the ball. I don't think I've seen a player continuously fall over like Hyam did for the 3rd, their fans must have been pissing themselves. Don't get me started on McFadzean for the others .... the manager doesn't seem too worried though!
  20. He does realise there is a bumper pay deal for staying in the Championship this year doesn't he? Wednesday go 1-0 up early, they are having a party at our place at our expense in the league.
