  1. Sorry if this has already been answered but is Bradford the only time Lewis Miller has played centre back in a back four in his professional career? My trawl through transfermarkt and Footmob seems to suggest so
  2. Is there a half decent centre back who is a free agent? If so, signing him may be the only way we stay up
  3. The weird contradiction is that we “made mistakes” in the past by not renewing contracts. However JRC, Buckley and Pears seem to have been frozen out because they have (or had in JRC’s case) long term contracts on a decent wages
  4. This was the team sheet. Everyone got on at some point. It was Decania who partnered Grady-Macken at the beginning of the second half before Max Davies came on and Grady-Macken moved to centre mid
  5. Olsen, Duru, Trialist off at half time. Houghton as gone right back, Grady-Macken playing centre back (!), Edmondson centre mid, someone I don’t know centre back with Grady-Macken
  6. This is him with the Venkys sponsorship instead of WR. David Dunn is in the crowd
  7. That looks about right apart from Wood is definitely on the right so Dlamini probably centre mid. “Trialist” has Venkys as his shirt sponsor
  8. I’m there and I’m not 100% sure who is playing for us. Couldn’t see anywhere to get a team sheet. For some reason we’re wearing last year’s away kit. Duru has looked a class above so far. Barrett, Dunn, Powell, Wood, Olsen the others I know in the starting lineup. I think it’s Boggan up front who has hit the post and looked sharp
  9. Is this the only U21 fixture that has been released (and we haven’t even released it). I normally enjoy a trip to a local non league ground mid July to watch them (Clitheroe 2023, Macclesfield 2024)
  10. It was a weird week that one and Lowe/the players managed to motivate them through that. Those two games are two of the four league games we have won since 14th December. The other two against Preston and Portsmouth could have gone differently with different referees. I agree that Ismael probably isn’t the man for the job but it’s harsh to write him off after four games with a squad of players who have been poor for months. I was pretty convinced Eustace was the wrong man for the job after his first four games and even more convinced after seven or eight games
  11. I agree. He probably isn’t the right man for the job but the players have been poor for a while barring those “galvanised” first two games under Lowe. Have the performances this week been any worse than QPR away (Eustace’s last game) and Swansea away (Lowe’s last game)?
  12. How worried would we be now without those two wins under Lowe?!
  13. Baker running the midfield tonight is what Venky’s deserved. Eustace wanted him in the summer, he was out of favour at Stoke but instead of just signing him, we messed about with a loan
  14. Re priority signings: I don’t think there’s much point getting left back cover in on loan on transfer deadline day. That was something we needed 1st January due to Pickering’s injury but it’s almost too late now
  15. For reasons previously mentioned by others, BBD probably wouldn’t come but he’s exactly the type of player we need. It is OK having strikers who don’t score as long as your wide forwards chip in and that is where a lot of teams get most of their goals. I wouldn’t mind Ohashi in the middle with BBD on the left and ACD on the right. The main problem then would be the number 10 role where we need more goals than Cantwell is currently providing
