Brockhall was state of the art when it was built but nothing has been spent on it's upkeep or maintenance since John Williams left or even improvements. The vast majority of the equipment etc there is still from Jacks time unless sponsors have paid for new TVs etc. Frost covers had to be purchased by the supporters group. We saw pictures last year of the steps and guard rales crumbling. It's just the same as Ewood just the bare minimum possible. Hopefully Venkys are gone soon and new owners come who invest because if things continue with no infrastructure investment in Ewood or Brockhall both will be crumbling away and we'll have to rebuild both in the next decade.

I always love how Waggot manages to spin himself out of his messes. He didn't play the game as we didn't have insurance cover for senior players to play in U21 games due to cost cutting measures and he refused to sign a waiver.

They haven't got to the being charged yet by Indian authorities apart from the house. The court case today was just an appeal to request permission to send funds overseas as it was rejected by Indian authorities. The result of the investigation and future appeals could take years still and while under investigation they need permission to send funds overseas. The default position is they can't, each time they ask for permission it is a new case and despite what Waggot says each request is reviewed independently and no president set.

The Indian tax authorities do not offer out of court settlements for Fraud and Money Laundering which they are being investigated for. When under investigation, Indians Individuals and Companies are not allowed to send funds overseas without permission. The Indian tax authorities have rejected permission and Venky's have gone to court again for permission to send funds. There is no possibility of an out of court settlement. Also the tax authorities have a 98% success rate when they charge somebody in India.

They are gambling, the case goes against them on the 20th and Ipswich will be offering £3m and not £6m. Also Ipswich apparently offered £6m immediately with no installments. -

Don't know, I really can't see us doing anything until after the court case on the 20th August. -

Shockingly Duncan Ferguson deal was agreed pending Broughton approval on becoming Director of Football. Broughton met Ferguson didn't like him and moved for JDT. So Mercer was totally correct. -

To be honest administration might be a lot preferable speed wise. If I was buying us I would do the deepest and most in-depth due diligence process I have ever done on a company and that would likely take 6 months. Buying it from the administrators there is normally a time limit and you can include indemnities etc . I would say as a buyer I would want to do a deal with the administrators and at least they will respond back. -

Although if Nixon really does have the inside track again, it means a certain agency and agent are back advising Venky's. -

Most of the recruitment side has left and not been replaced. Just Park recruited on that side. JDT wage has then been used for Eustace and Gestede. Also JDT paid up the remainder of his contract which allowed Eustace to be appointed. Broughton so far is a full wage saving. -

I will dig a link out later. A screenshot was posted on here a few days ago of the case. -

I am not sure why there is so much confusion. The court case for August states in black and white the purpose is to review the request to send funds to their over seas businesses in this case Venky's London ltd to allow the funding of Blackburn Rovers football club. -

Nope the guarantees are there in case they lose the case so that eventual fines/prison terms etc can be dealt with. The Indian authorities do not want the V's transfering all of their assets out of the country and are doing everything they can to make sure they can't. The November court case stated the money would be held up until the completion of the Governments investigation so unless it has concluded, £11m is still sitting in the Indian authorities account. -

It's a big impediment/ impediments as that personal guarantee is transfering the same amount into a similar escrow account in case they lose. So to send us £10m is actually £20m they need to find etc I would expect this years funding is presently sitting in an escrow account from last November. -

It's detailed in the court case they are forbidden to send funds out of India. They and their companies are not allowed to send any funds without a court granting permission. When they do send funds they have to deposit an equal sum with the India authorities incase they lose the case and have no assets in India to pay the fines etc. The delay in the case in January to August meant the Wharton bid had to be accepted as we didn't have funds to operate the club past January. -

They took a loan out on the training through supposedly a friend in the UK, supposedly the collateral was the training ground but I wouldn't be surprised if there were stipulations about not being able to turn down transfers above a certain amount or being able to sign players until the loan is paid. -

I don't think they have a spare £20m sitting around they want to lose. They could but all indications are they won't. -

The club normally requires around £20m of funding a year. Venky's can go to the courts and ask to pop funds into the club. The courts will say yes so long as they match the funding to the Indian Tax authorities pending the outcome of the case. So if they have £20m the can spend, £10m can go to Rovers and £10m has to go to the Indian authorities. Following the outcome of the case, they will either receive the £10m back or it will be confiscated by the authorities. Now for Us, that means our funding is £10m down on what we need so cost cutting is required. Last year they got through with sale of Wharton, other players and the loan on the training ground. The loan on the training ground needs to be paid back shortly, which will be the Raya and Wharton funds.
