  1. No. A couple of busted flushes languishing on the scrap heap.
  2. So after a rigorous, drawn out process, the net result is one of two desperados plucked from the scrap heap.
  3. I'm not convinced about January, but I agree they are working within tight restraints.
  4. Maybe, but I always felt that Park was the one who knew what he was doing. Too many cooks when a well paid, decent head chef is what we need.
  5. Fair points, but given our current league position, and the counter balance of the contract situation, (a ticking bomb), that’s why I believe a senior, high calibre manager until the end of the season would’ve made sense.
  6. I reckon he’s on the forum payroll to keep the place busy 😉
  7. We can afford to pay the wages of hangers on, like Owen and Gestede, but can’t afford to pay the going rate for a decent head coach. Here we are, yet again, in a position where the right decision and a bit of ambition might lead to the promised land. Will we make the right decision? Probably not, and another opportunity will have been spurned. I know Eustace isn’t blameless, but a manager seeing a club in serious danger of relegation (from the same Division) as a better bet really does say it all.
  8. Ah, but our billionaire owners never refuse a request for funds, don't you know? 😉
  9. He'll need to be a bloody miracle worker with a huge turnover of players fast approaching.
  10. Yes, the agents of desperados will be on the blower to Waggott today, for sure. A harsh reality check.
  11. Well at least it should dampen the temptation to give it to Lowe. Our caretaker manager bounce has finished, now we need some new manager bounce. Otherwise it’ll be time to say “we’re only x points from the play offs” ad - nauseam, until May.
  12. and we all know what famous bottle - jobs Leeds are at the business end of the season.
  13. ……and so begins another round of “Who hired JDT and Eustace?” to keep us all entertained until kick off 😉
  14. I thought he meant Gestede? Pasha is the master, not the slave 😉
  15. I’m enjoying this extended season of Sunday morning wicker man burnings. Usually, the fun stops at the end of the January Window.
  16. I'm expecting to see you at around 5 - 1 for the job later today.
  17. Or the Boro job. Surely, tonight will be the end for Carrick. Can see O’Neil ending up there.
  18. So, if we are interested in him & he in us, (BIG IF), maybe a solution would be for Lowe to continue to the end of the season, and then Gerrard takes over? On a separate note, for the potential dangers of appointing someone on the evidence of a brief, successful spell as a caretaker manager, see R Van Nistelrooy.
  19. If it’s Krankie, they needn’t bother! It really is a sad state of affairs when David Lowe is a more attractive proposition !
  20. Which Facebook page is the interview on, please?
  21. I sincerely hope the rumour about Aitor Krankie is unfounded. There have been a multitude of opinions and preferences about who we should get, but he was the candidate who pretty much united everyone as a "no thanks". He will probably go in like Cloughie on hs first day at Leeds and pop the current feel good factor within the camp. Bugger off Gestede.
  22. We can afford them, but are choosing not to.
