  1. I agree, it's a pretty hopeless situation, but I'm certain that nothing else will have any effect.
  2. Possibly not, but not low attendances are more likely to trigger changes than any demonstrations, (which clearly would not be well supported anyway). I agree with you that people will no longer attend for a variety of reasons, but attendances will illustrate a level of discontent. Some, like myself, have had enough and will not be attending as a means of showing that.
  3. Agreed, I think after the initial widespread anger during the early years of their ownership, (and Kean took the brunt of that), many people have simply gone past caring. I do think they will notice very poor attendances, though, and that is what is going to happen.
  4. Agreed, but the net result is the same - a very low attendance level. I still think the people you are talking about are likely to attend.
  5. Those people will make up the biggest proportion of the attendance at the Ewood echo chamber next season. However, the bottom line is that a substantial number of previous season ticket holders / match attenders will not return to Ewood next season. Blackpool supporters had it right - don't give the club any money whatsoever and don't attend.
  6. Exactly, in yet some people claim they listen to and are influenced by what the fans want. Here is further proof that is not the case.
  7. Reward for the fans who stuck to their guns in not attending until the Oystons left. A club with the feelgood factor on the up.
  8. The final straw for me was when Mowbray said that he wasn’t interested in the league table.
  9. Yes, Blackpool fans voted with their feet, which is exactly what I am going to do next season. Not a penny more.
  10. I thought a Swansea sending off looked likely from very early in the game. You expect players to be pumped up for such a big game, but Swansea channelled that in the wrong way. The eventual red card was perhaps a little unlucky, but the game was probably lost by then, and the right team won. Fair play to Brentford. Just because they aren’t a big name, fashionable club, you get what you deserve. That’s why they are where they are and we are where we are.
  11. I see the set up very differently. They have no intention of appointing and empowering a competent and fully functioning CEO / MD. They merely ensure a box is ticked to observe Football League regulations by appointing a stooge, who has slightly more authority than the cleaning staff. The invisible Pasha and Babu have slightly more authority, but are evidently clueless.
  12. Bobby Saxton's tenure included fifth and sixth placed finishes, (which shows what can be achieved on a shoestring), something Mowbray will never achieve.
  13. They haven’t seen him play yet 😉 Honestly, you couldn’t make this stuff up. What’s next, Gallagher for Peru as he’s a big fan of Paddington Bear?
  14. Yes, we might as well be discussing whether Roy Race would be decent for us, (I suggest googling for those fortunate enough to not have a clue who he is).
  15. Hodgson has stated he is having a break from football. Why would he leave Premier League Crystal Palace to join Rovers? At 73, perhaps if and when he returns to football it will be in more of a director of football type capacity.
  16. Or maybe they’re gullible, ignorant fools who believe Mowbray’s guff.
  17. Yes, more guff about Venkys understanding the "unique" nature of the season. Amazing that it was only unique to Blackburn Rovers! Utterly pathetic.
  18. Probably delegated to Mowbray, Venus and Waggott, who all agreed it had been a roaring success and reported this back to Venkys.
  19. I agree with and applaud the sentiment. The reality will be very different.
  20. The Queen says “Mowbray out!” 😉 The problem is that next season Ewood will be a largely deserted echo chamber, mainly populated by folk who would still go even if it incorporated Mowbray personally slapping them in the face at the turnstiles. It’s clear that nothing is going to change, so many simply won’t bother, (myself included).
  21. We have regressed from mid - table drifters to relegations likelys.
  22. Each to their own. The reality in the ground will be large scale apathy and ambivalence, with small pockets of dissent, amongst the inevitably poor attendances. One day I hope to return, but my connection with the club barely exists anymore as things stand.
  23. I’ve been a regular since the early 80s, but I’m afraid I feel the same as @gumboots. I’ve had enough.
  24. Tony Mowbray facing up to a huge Rovers rebuild this summer | Lancashire Telegraph Quite clear that Sharpe believes Mowbray is staying. A second season with no visits to Ewood Park for me. Why would I pay good money to watch a team whose manager doesn't care where we finish in the table?
