  1. I think it was his first time back he has not been booked! He never seems to be able to do the easy ball and chooses a more complicated one that breaks down. i also agree that as with last season he does not seem to keep to his position.
  2. First of all an apology-my post on dec 15 referred to Enkleman, who I think is not good enough, not to Brad. First goal yesterday- yet again a midfield runner is not picked up. Should Brad have done better? Don't know, but the person who should have been picking up Dyer could have done a lot better. Second goal. Our reaction at the time was that he should not have been beated on his near post but we had no idea how good the wall was.Another poster has said it was a cracking free kick.If Brad is no longer up to the job, there are a whole lot of others who have never been up to their job or who have lost their ability.
  3. " A dour game in which Todd,Carsley and Hibbert were booked.Verdict:a dour game in which Todd, Carsley and Hibbert were booked."(Daily Telegraph Fantasy football match facts).
  4. Jim-both Souness and Allardyce have cancelled Christmas for their players. 2 defeats for us then.
  5. We've scored 16 goals in 18 matches. Our leading scorer has bagged 3 from open play.
  6. Don't go to the match on Saturday as it's on Sunday.
  7. Ronnie Clayton was never a team mate of Kendall.
  8. I just think he's not good enough-was poor last season.
  9. I thought at times Spurs looked much better than us but they really didn't create much.I also thought we didn't work hard enough-centre midfield and down the wings etc.The people who thought Todd played well will perhaps remember his lack of a tackle in the lead-up to the goal.
  10. Yes, Scotty, but I would keep Short because he's still our best centre-half.
  11. At least Jimmy Scouler isn't still manager-we always did badly against his teams. We've beaten Lenny in a cup final.
  12. Now then, where did Peter Thorne start his career?
  13. Our immediate reaction was that Ferguson could have intervened but didn't.
  14. My impression is that many of the people who went to the match are angry/frustrated etc. I'm really fed -Brad in the LET thinks it was a one-off.Well, my suggestion is that if the team have not performed, give your wages to charity. The team were very poor, the attendance was up-I bet the extra fans were really pleased they gave their hard earned money to the Club and gave up their time to attend.Relegation is still a real fear as well as the question as to why fans should continue to go to see such untalented, limited players who are paid an obscene amount of money that they don't earn. Not happy!
  15. GreggyI agree that Ferguson was not at the races.Again. But the problem with keeping Tugay on was that he wasn't playing that well and there was again a real danger of his being sent off after another stupid booking.
  16. I enjoyed the posts from Philipl , Scotty and Revidge Blue. As we left the ground we overheard someone say, " Same old ****e." I thought Spurs tried to play at a higher tempo that the Rovers without creating much. We were awful. No quality, no tempo, nowhere near enough effort. Bothroyd started quite well but later seemed to be falling out with team mates.Gallagher might not be Premiership quality but he offers more goal threat than Dickov.
  17. Spurs have lost their last 3 away games without scoring a goal.
  18. This is real shame on 2 levels-having beaten the mighty Burnley in an earlier round they would have been expecting to win the cup, and now the manager has to lift them for their next league match:let's hope they aren't too tired.
  19. Then he came back , was injured in his 2nd match and never played again.
  20. Did he go to Blackpool?
  21. Was the Boro game the one Short came on when we were losing 4-0?
  22. Sellars had the chance to make it with us but apparently had a falling out with Kenny. He went to Leeds the season after they won the championship and then onto Newcastle. He didn't really do that well at either club-he also slagged us off too many times. He won't get my vote.
  23. Mike Harrison- we bought him from Chelsea. We might have sold him to Plymouth. The late Noel was a right winger when he came but ended up on the left after Saxton bought Miller who could only play on the right. It was a sad restriction on Noel's versatile abilities.
