  1. Because £22 million is on the table and the player wants to leave . Yes their squad needed improving and so far they have brought in Travers and Giles and Whittaker We needed signings and have brought in Foreshaw, Sanderson and Kargbo Who do you think is more ambitious with the signings?
  2. And they might still spend big. Boro have been far more pro active and far more ambitious than us that's a fact You can delude yourself to thinking otherwise if you wish but it is a fact
  3. And we are ambitious spending 2 or 3 million after taking in near 40 million. Y Why did they need a goalkeeper and left back or Whittaker when they are in the playoffs that cost as much as those players when Boro where already in the playoffs? Surely they should just be going for cheap signings like Foreshaw like us
  4. Wrong thread but Wharton back on the bench for Palace today
  5. They have also signed Travers and Giles expensive loan deals for good players at this level Boro are showing far more ambition than us in the market...surely you can't disagree with that. They will also add other players most likely before deadline
  6. But he has been doing well for them up front, I genuinely don't think with them going so well they will sign Danns with a view of starting him up front and moving Isidor Even if they did take Isidor out of the striker position who do they drop from the wide positions He might not even be let out but if he is I do believe we will be favourites .I don't think financial rewards will be that much of a consideration
  7. They have already paid £8 million for an attacker Ihneacho is a top quality loan for this division it will cost more than our signing of Kargbo
  8. No chance Sunderland are offering that Where does he get minutes for them? If we truly are in for Danns and Liverpool do decide to loan him we will be big favourites imo
  9. I don't think anyone will be paying a big loan fee for Danns
  10. If Danns is let out on loan and we are really in for him then surely we would be favourites over Sunderland Locality ,relationship with Liverpool with previous loans and less competition for him to get minutes here rather than Sunderland
  11. Unleaded said Nixon was saying Portsmouth and Plymouth have expressed an interest in taking Leonard on loan.If his back injury isn't serious and Rovers sign a striker plan is to loan Leonard out
  12. They wouldn't sign Danns and another centre forward surely ,I don't think Liverpool would be keen on loaning him if we spent significant for us funds on a striker and already have Gueye and Ohashi.Due to Danns age I doubt Liverpool would insist he start every game due to his age but they would want him getting decent minutes Preferably we secure a permanent striker but if we are going the loan route on a young striker then money should be spent on a goalscoring number 10 or a right winger that has goals in him
  13. On another note be better for Leonard to head to League One if he is to go out on loan I don't think he would get sufficient minutes at either Plymouth or Portsmouth if those teams did make offers
  14. Passed that point. It's a 2 game ban for 10 yellows now
  15. That's what I'm saying if we ain't prepared to pay the fee or wages then don't waste time on it in the hope you will get a last minute deal
  16. We are fifth in the league Nantes have asked for £3.6 million pay the fee, pay the wages of the player and surely we are more attractive due to our position in the table(if up against Hull) If club ain't prepared to pay what is needed they should be walking away now and going for others not trying to haggle
  17. All the Szmodic money all the Wharton money and the Raya money was needed to pay bills? If so because the owners are refusing to help .Venkys out On your last point, we should have quite a bit of budget left then because so far we have missed out on all our top targets They would have preferred Kitching to Sanderson as he can play left back also, probably would have been more expensive They would have preferred Baker to stay ,and he would be on more money than what Foreshaw is on.Surely? Links with Wallace ,Schlupp,Bta, apparent 4 million bid in for the fella from the Swiss league all more expensive than Kargbo So I presume you believe we will spend a few Millon between now and deadline and if we don't you will be critical of the club?
  18. We wouldn't be paying 40k a week A club will take him paying 20k max.He can play LB if needed did for boro many times, left on the 3 if needed, even as a ten if needed I'd rather him than no midfielder being signed or another cheap punt, he has had a disappointing couple of years but a signing like him would give the players and management a massive boost rather than another player they have to google
  19. Dieng been out though and they have brought in Travers who is a good goalkeeper. Spoilt for choice with their attacking options now If Carrick doesn't make top 6 with this backing surely Gibson will replace him in the summer
  20. Would they qualify for permits or would they have to take up one of the slots for players who don't qualify? As we have all those slots filled...makes the signing of the young French guy odd unless there was supreme confidence he could maybe become a first team player in the not to distant future we shouldn't have used one up on him
