  1. Tony pulis was in the papers when at sheff Wednesday saying how lucky Tony has been being given the time to build his own team. Id agree with Mcarthy it cant be the easiest working under this set up, but he has had decent money to work with and a lifetime in the job in the modern era.
  2. Rothwell has one year left on his contract. Contract negotiations should have been taking place last summer not this one. Money was available to give Pears a 4 year deal and to sign Ayala. If Mowbray wanted Rothwell tieing down then he should have been going to the owners for the money for that not giving a Boro reserve goalkeeper a 4 year contract.
  3. Aye iv never argued against the statement that our owners are incompetent. My only argument is in the Mowbray and Waggott tenure they have been provided with sufficient funds for the squad not to ve in the state it is in.They have had plenty of money leading up to this season.
  4. Agree with that. They have no buisness in football. However for 300k a year our Ceo should be doing more.Look at the state around the ground in the summer.I dont believe Waggott would have to contact the owners to get permission for him to pay someone to do a bit of weeding and pick some litter up
  5. Fictional? So when JRC was fit last year, i imagined Nyambe on the bench? When there is another option then Nyambe isnt a shoe in to play.Mowbray has left him out loads. He has had plenty of money as Revidge pointed out these deals should have been sorted out long ago.He brought 11 players to the club last summer and half of them didnt contribute much at all.The money used for those players could have been put toward new contracts. The owners are allowed to put in a certain amount over 3 years and they have put that amount in.What income do we have? So it isnt speculative that we are close to ffp at all. Tell me where the money is coming from? The owners have put in what they are allowed.Thats a fact. The owners had no problem signing off on a 4 year contract for Ainsley Pears...that money could and should been added to what we were offering Nyambe.
  6. According to Mowbray. Of course he always speaks the truth. Is he going to say Rothwell and Nyambe wont sign new deals ,because i dont rate them as highly as they rate themselves. He leaves Nyambe out whenever he can so i do not believe it is just down to money with Nyambe. Its like when you say if we cant bring players in because of ffp they why aint Mowbray and Waggott referring to it through media and using it as an excuse. How could they use it as an excuse? It would be on their watch and their fault thst we would be close to breaking the ffp rules.
  7. Offers have been made according to the club. With all due respect you have no idea how much these players are wanting. You have no idea if its purely down to money why they havent signed on. Nyambe might be tied down now if Mowbray hadnt given new deals to Bennett and Smallwood or if he didnt leave him out whenever there is another option available Similar with Rothwell, only this season starting every week.
  8. I would agree he has made some very good signings but he has also wasted a lot of money aswell. And like i keep saying up until Armstrong was sold his net spend wasnt miniscule, far from it. Other clubs do spend on wages but maybe if Mowbray wasnt so quick to dish out new deals for the "men" in the dressing room upon promotion Bennett ,Mulgrew,Smallwood etc perhaps Nyambe would be tied down now. If he didnt have to choose to change our tactics, formation and personal on a weekly basis maybe we wouldnt have to have such a big squad and have to fill our loan allocation every season. Only Raya was sold for a fee above 1 million before Armstrong departed. How many players in that time were brought in? Brererton and Gallagher its looking likely we will make profit on Brererton at least but again were we in the situation as a club to pay out big fees like that and then wait 2 years before seeing anything from them? And other clubs have spent more but they have brought money in.We had brought 3 milllion in for Raya, 500k for Nuttall and a few nominal fees up until Armstrong was sold and Raya got promoted which gave us an extra 2 million. Im talking pre armstrong sale but he had plenty of money made available to him.
  9. I can admit Mowbray has done some good things and he deserves credit for them but it doesnt matter how many good signings he makes or how much profit he makes even how much money he spends he will continue to think he is Pep and over complicate things, changing formation every other week and changing the team every fecking match. He just cant help himself, he will never stick to the formstion and personnell that suits us. And i agree the owners are useless and want them out as much as anyone but they have put the money in throughout Mowbrays reign up until this summer
  10. Or they couldnt find someone to agree to take over due to not being able to spend a decent amount this summer and with our top scorer leaving.
  11. All these players you mention that we could make profits on ,Brererton and Gallagher etc?Who paid the transfer fees to bring them in? Could the venkys look into the future and guarantee they would get a profit for them?Or that 2 years down the line we would sell Arma and he would pay for it. How can you be of the opinion he hasnt been backed
  12. You think all the free transfers he made cost nothing? The loans etc. Ayala came here within our wage structure without a significant signing on fee?Similar with Holtby etc
  13. Exactly just the transfer fees are brought into it. We have a wage bill that far exceeds our income the owners have to cover that. Ayala would have been a costly deal and he hardly kicked a ball for 12 months
  14. And all the other signings? The fact prior to armstrong leaving he had sold one first team player that got a fee of above a million? Who pays our big wagebill as our income doesnt cover it? 11 players were added to our wagebill last summer
  15. How is it spot on Gav? Being given 12 million to bring in Gallagher and Brererton isnt backing? Its absolute nonsense that Mowbray hasnt been backed.Do the math, it will tell you the opinion he hasnt been backed is complete nonsense. Our wagebill was running at 180% to turnover who was covering the wages that our income couldnt?
  16. Look at all the players he has been allowed to bring in up until this summer only one first team player was sold for over a million quid in his reign in Raya. 7 million brerererton, 5 million Gallagher.Ayala ,Holtby ,Johnson ,Downing, Rodwell will have all been costly Look at our wage bill and compare it to other clubs with similar income
  17. If he kept to his best 11 and stopped coming out with a load of guff in the media he would get a lot more leeway from me. He never takes responsibility and his constant changing of the team and formation is beyond infuriating.
  18. He hasnt pulled in nearly 20 million for Armstrong. With what newcastle recieved as part of the deal and take away what we paid for him we cleared about 10 million. Gallagher and Brererton was 12 million and yeah they are playing well this season but were we in a position as a club that we could be waiting around 2 or 3 years for players that cost that sort of money to develop?
  19. That sounds like something Mercer would say despite the noticeable "imo" missing. He isnt getting sacked imo
  20. I presumed Carter was injured. Not been on the bench either has he?
  21. Will they review his position shortly though? I think it is his last season here but don't see him leaving until his contract is up.
  22. I want them out aswell but in Mowbrays reign, up until this summer he has been well backed .Backed more than a lot of clubs in this division. How many players did he bring in? Compared to selling? Up until this summer in Mowbrays reign only Raya was sold for a fee over a million. Will echo I want them out as much as the next man but I do not see it happening.
  23. Do us a favour Mowbray and just leave ffs.More waffle about punching above our weight again
  24. Agree with that but still until they stop paying the bills then I think its hyperbolic to be labelling them the worst owners ever when other clubs have been through a lot more than we have due to ownership.
