  1. We must have SOME money last week we were close to bringing in a foreign based attacker and every interview Mowbrays been talking about incomings. Why is he saying this if no funds?
  2. It was on sky and think I saw mention of it on the Lancashire telegraph feed. It said all paperwork done subject to medical
  3. It said earlier all the paperwork had been done
  4. Giles is done, all the paperwork anyway
  5. It isn't nonsense. He had already been told that they were not going to sanction his sale. Again if your boss gives you an instruction and you disagree with it do you call a staff meeting to tell them what you would do. Mowbray should have kept his mouth shut. Unless a deal was agreed or was likely to happen then he should have kept to the injury line. Where has going public got us?Fracturing relations between the fan base and Rothwell.
  6. He should have stuck with the injury line.He didn't have to attempt to force the owners hand to sell him by going public. The owners had already told the people at Ewood that they wouldn't sanction his departure. When your boss gives you instructions and you disagree with it do you start mouthing off in public what you would do? Mowbray has been in the game long enough to know how sections of the support would react to this news.
  7. Do you agree with Mowbray that we should have allowed Rothwell join Bournemouth? They made the decision that they didn't want a key player being sold to a promotion rival and I agree with it . They could easily have instructed the people at Ewood to get what they could for Nyambe , Lenihen and Rothwell but they didn't.And will receive nothing for them now
  8. Mate if you believe owners don't have a say in transfer dealings at other clubs then you are deluded. If they felt selling one of our better performers to a direct promotion rival was ridiculous then they are well within their rights to stop the deal going ahead. They own the club and it is their money.
  9. I agree the owners shouldn't get involved in footballing decisions in terms of signings and teams selections etc but they most certainly should have the final say over a player's sale.
  10. One or two more in key positions would be welcome but it's still a decent window. Zeefuik,Markanday and Hedges done.Giles likely. No players sold. If Dack can get his fitness then that is another attacking option to add, Dolan also will be back from injury. Even if no other signings are made, we are still well and truly in the mix for promotion.
  11. Think it was brought up an hour or so before deadline Things could be happening but if any fee was agreed with another club surely be known by now
  12. Stoke selling Surridge to Forest. Nothing must be close on a midfielder as they haven't let Davenport out
  13. No I wrote Ayala instead of Lenihen by accident, but Ayala is good enough cover We don't need to be spending big wages on Jones.
  14. So you are dropping Travis or Rothwell then? Jones wants guaranteed playing time.
  15. Was meant to be Lenihen. Jones will want guarantees he plays, hence why his move to France is off. Travis, Lenihen, Van Hecke and Wharton don't need to be taken out of the team.
  16. And play where? He would want to play every week.Which of Ayala, Wharton or Van Hecke you dropping?
  17. Sharp saying might have been developments with a permanent signing
  18. Because Maja has played 45 minute this season and the club moved on from him.
  19. Luton in for Luke Freeman according to Nixon
  20. But he is only reportedly on 12.5 per week so he would fit into our structure. They pay higher wages but doesn't mean every player they have wouldn't be within our budget
  21. Nat Phillips to Bournemouth on loan being mooted now.How many players do they want. Hope they don't go up...
  22. Darrenrover posted the other day that we had bid for a Bournemouth player
