  1. Plus reportedly bidding less than Coventry paid for Asante, sky had us in at £1.7 . Pissing about under bidding hoping for a favour while players within the budget we have are snapped up by other teams Then we sign the player we could have signed and got involved in the squads much earlier The budget is shit but they move so slow
  2. Sky are saying they are leading Celtic in the race to sign Ihneacho If the signings they have made gel you would have to put them as taking a play off place even when they lose Latth
  3. Have we reinvested any of the Wharton or Szmodic money? The money for Gally,Ennis and Whalstedt paid for our signings in the summer The Wharton fee, the Szmodic fee and the Raya sell on disappeared. We are in the playoffs have had big money coming in. Is it not understandable for supporters to be dissapointed that the best they could do is bring In a 34 year old midfielder who struggled for minutes at a team in relegation trouble? Look at Millwall lose a player and within a week have broken their transfer record and also signed up other players. It's taken us all month to sign Kargbo, shouldn't have been a difficult deal to do considering the price and no other teams in for him Its been a shit window again
  4. Cissoko probably cheaper if its a straight loan
  5. Where they still targets though? The way I was looking at it , it was one of the hibs fella, Cissokho or Kargbo. Obviously he doesn't know everything. But that was what Nixon was also saying. The bid for the hibs player was made before we had agreed a fee for Kargbo I don't see us being for 2 wingers, when midfield left back and striker have been mentioned by Eustace, I could only see us still being in for the lad from Hibs if Kargbo or him are being viewed as a striker
  6. Eustace said at the end of his post match presser hoping the club add another 2 or 3 to really help the group after speaking about the Kagbo signing https://youtu.be/qFO68qj1CH0?si=PW9oND8LeZn3-e4k
  7. Huge win ahead of two tough away games Great to have Travis back and Brittain is in great form
  8. What was hyam £1.7?Anything under up to £2 million excellent value .Poor last season as where many .excellent first season and has been this Brittain cost £1 million ,2 seasons before signing him he had been one of the better wing backs in the league when Barnsley finished in the playoff spots he was never a poor value signing at a million quid . And the biggest issue no new contracts signed since Broughton left. If you haven't listened to the podcast whilst Broughton was still employed by the club his recommendations of how the transfer money should be used aligns with nearly everybody wants on here Don't get me wrong with any ambition we could do a lot better than Broughton but from where I'm sitting and on evidence so far he has been replaced by worse and a lap dog in Gestede
  9. We have signed our share of duds undeniable But when you have such a small budget it's inevitable If you could build a promotion team out of freebies, loans, and transfers not costing more than £1 million then every club would be doing it.
  10. Yeah but we got our money back for them more or less.Managers can also make shit signings In Broughtons defence when a little money was spent Hyam,Brittain, Szmodic where signed nobody could argue they haven't all proven excellent value. Even in the January Broughton wanted O'Brien and Undav and was hoodwinked like the rest of us that the club could do those deals Following summer it started OK, Tronstad long term target secured ,Sigurdsson a player with champions league experience, close with Batth then the budget was pulled from under him and Lower cost players brought in that weren't anywhere near the standard required My biggest issue with Broughton was how he talked up the signings but I think he was as let down as jdt was Do I think the club are in a better place now Broughton has gone? Probably not ,no players have signed new deals since he left and no sign we are even talking with the likes of Brittain and Travis. Plus that podcast Broughton did before he left, and he spoke on the Wharton fee and his recommendations on how the budget should be used aligned exactly how I felt it should be used. Just another fella in a long list of fall guys
  11. Yeah but do you not counter that with the good signings? Szmodic,Hyam,Brittain,Tronstad With a small budget even the best recruitment team in the world wouldn't be getting every one right To be fair despite being one of the lowest spending teams in the league we have finished 8th , 7th, poor season ,and are currently 7th in the league now with over half the season gone So overall recruitment have done OK it comes back to budget or an unwillingness to spend significant money to push us on that's the issue
  12. Wrexham reportedly spending £2 million on a striker Millwall make their fourth signing of the window in Cundle a good player at this level, reinvesting the Esse money But all is OK here and fans shouldn't be angry according to Chaddy
  13. Wednesday signing Stuart Armstrong a player with good experience and better than what we have probably if he hadn't gone too downhill Not acceptable that near every club in the division is having a better window than us
  14. I'm getting angry over what is happening. We are spending a pittance again...we have waited all window to bring in "quality" only to find our only current cash bid on the table is for a player nobody else wants It's not good enough with the injuries we have to not have made signings sooner ,if the signings are cheap like Kargbo will be. We are a joke club under this ownership fact.
  15. You agree with whatever the club does Earlier in the window you said you wanted what Eustace wanted Foreshaw,Sanderson and Kargbo are not signings ambitious promotion chasing clubs make...fact.They are cheap signings and that's why they are being signed not because they are quality Why did Eustace say Kargbo is a player the "club" likes? Why didn't he say he is a player "we" like.He is clearly trying to distance himself from the signing
  16. Yeah I can disagree with unleaded. Kargbos stats are poor in Seria B.He is available cheap and nobody else is bidding. No point Even trying to debate with you. Other clubs have signed players chaddy Kargbo at £1 million could have been done weeks ago
  17. Was also mentioned yesterday that Tronstad won't be out as long as we feared The most sickening thing will be Gestede talking about the window afterwards making out it was a success
  18. Swansea sell Grimes for an initial 3 million and Swansea straight away are in talks and have a bid in for a £2.7 million replacement Jealous
  19. Granted the clean sheets haven't been forthcoming recently but in seasons past we where susceptible to taking hidings and conceding 2 or 3 goals per game. With the way Eustace has us set up we are nearly always in a game If Gueye performs aswell as he has last couple I can see 3 points here.Disgusting the manager and players haven't been helped with players through the door anyone added be to late for Qpr aswell. Next 3 league games massive
  20. So what have the club been doing the last 3 or 4 weeks? It's taken Eustace that long to realise experience Championship attackers are "beyond us" That's why fans are angry, the manager hasn't been backed and we are bargain bin shopping again taking out of favour castoffs from clubs with a lower league standings than ourselves or taking punts on cheap foreign players That's if we even sign Kargbo, probably fly the poor lad over then change our minds again when a prem club offers us their star under 18 winger on loan for the season
  21. I do think our own team are more grittier than we have been in the past, plus we are going into the game as a much stronger defensive unit I do agree with Eustace aswell, in the main performances haven't been terrible in this bad run considering the players out we have stuck in games and bar 1 or 2 with a bit more luck more points could have come our way Travis back, no midweek game,Whiteman a miss for them I'm feeling confident tonight
  22. It's a tough one pre the dof era managers in this country where given time in the job now most manager don't last a season so I can see why they don't have the say they once did when it comes to recruitment At this club and under this ownership having a dof Is pointless as they leave quicker than the manager. We have too high a turnover of backroom staff to implement any sort of long term plan for the club . Plus how many models has this ownership gone through during their tenure, they stick with nothing here.
  23. We could have signed 10 players for that considering the club haven't spent more than £1 million on an initial fee for an individual in 2 and a half seasons
