  1. It did cost them. They had to lodge 16 million into Rovers. The company that bought us yes is Venkys that was set up for this sale but they still had to put 16 million of their money into the club.
  2. With the run in we have I feel we will get enough points to secure a playoff place.
  3. Agree I think we are in a great position and I do believe we will be in the top 6 with the fixtures we have left. If we have Brererton fit and Dack capable of making an impact by the time of the play offs then think we would be in pretty good shape. A front 3 of Brererton Dack Khadra along with our strength at the back would give us a good chance
  4. Huddersfield have some tough games coming up they play 4 out of potential top 6 teams in their next 7 . Hopefully West Brom's win today will give them some confidence as they play Hudds on Friday . In fairness I had them down to struggle this season and have to say the manager has done a fantastic job but I think Forest will get top 6 at their expense.
  5. Another 2 goals for Obafemi, his attitude can be questioned but the guy is a talent
  6. Cardiff score 1-1 v QPR
  7. So should we rule Boro out of top 6 contention as they lost to Bristol a cpl of weeks ago?
  8. We have played all those teams twice with the exception of Bournemouth those teams still have to play against eachother they can't all win them all. Sheff United and QPR still have to play eachother twice. Our record against bottom half teams this season is as good as anyone's. Today was poor and the last month has been but a generous Run of fixtures to come
  9. Their next 7 league games won't be easy having to play Bournemouth, QPR, Luton, Boro from our promotion rivals in that spell. West Brom, Millwall and Hull all away won't be easy games either.
  10. He can't sign a pre contract with any club in this country until his deal has expired. Could only have signed with a foreign club.
  11. Who is performing? I'm not saying he definitely shouldn't be left out but you could make a case for any of 3 up top and Rothwell to be left out. Buckley has missed a few very easy chances and would have said pre Forest he should drop out for a game but imo he played well v Forest and West Brom and wasn't poor the other night. He is capable of playing the killer pass that most in the squad wouldn't even attempt. The goal was ruled out but who else in our squad is playing the ball that led to Breretons goal v West Brom? Stats wise he has created the most chances in the squad, his ability to win the ball back in the final third was instrumental to getting us 3rd place in the first place.
  12. Apologies.Last night hurt.Bigger things to worry about than trying to justify Buckleys place in the team on here.Fingers crossed we can get a win on Saturday whoever plays
  13. And? The original post asked for stats and I gave them. Yes at Rovers and his pressing and winning the ball back was instrumental in the run that got us to third place in the first place.
  14. Most chances created for us this season. Won the ball back most times in the final 3rd this season. 2nd in assists. Those stats were on sky last night.
  15. Both been poor lately and wouldn't be against that or even moving Rothwell further forward and dropping Buckley back. His finishing is awful(Buckley) but the player himself openly admits goalscoring isn't his game. The goal was ruled out but I don't see many if any in our squad capable of playing the ball he did v West Brom when Brererton scored.
  16. Everyone has been poor from an attacking point of view For a bit of balance on Buckley Going through our squad. He has won the ball back the most times in the final third out of our squad. He has created the most chances this season. He is 2nd when it comes to assists. His standards have dropped as have everyone else's maybe he should be dropped out for a bit but a similar case can be made for Rothwell to be dropped as since January his performance levels have gone down too.
  17. Crap like Rothwell and the rest of the frontline
  18. Bournemouth have been scabbing wins and have very tough run in when you compare it with ours.I don't think Its a gimme they will get second. Granted we have to start showing form and we have to start putting the chances we do create away but still with a defence that doesn't concede a lot of goals you have a chance to pick up points. Better than previous seasons when it was needing us to score twice to pick up a point in a lot of matches
  19. Well no I don't think we certainly will get 2nd place. We are 4 points behind to a team who has played 2 less games than us. But if it isn't to be Bournemouth (who have been scabbing wins and have a really hard run in) then no other team is really standing out Boro been on a good run but lost at Bristol the weekend.Losing Brererton a massive loss but our frequently fixtures are kind following Fulham. I would place that bet no question on us finishing in the top 6 though
  20. Those teams still have to play eachother though.Compare our fixtures to the others...take Sheffield United and QPR they still have to play against eachother twice. QPR ain't playing great(agreed we ain't either) but with home advantage I expect us to pick up a win at home on Saturday. If we beat QPR I do not see them finishing ahead of us with what they have left to play compared to ourselves.
  21. Who is then? Nobody has made that second spot their own yet and we are 3rd on merit nobody even with games in hand can overtake us in 3rd spot. Yeah we are out of form and have dropped the standards a little but if we get through the next 3 games picking up some points then I'd rather have our remaining fixtures than the other teams.Only Bournemouth home and Stoke(being generous) home out of the teams you would feel will be in and around the top 6. Up until Swansea no team in the division had a better record against bottom half teams than ourselves.
  22. It will be better for the club longer term him playing week in week out. He hasn't shown enough to be confident he could step in he was 5th/6th choice and wasn't making the bench. My point about the managers decision is he clearly doesn't see Carter as his 5th choice centre back this season to have loaned him out.And yes I think he would have s better idea than any of us considering Carter played once or twice at CB this season. If he wasn't 5th choice no point in him being kept around. Can you show me where I said other people's opinions didn't matter?Or where I said we couldn't disagree with the managers decision? You are debating something with me I never said. In MY opinion it would have been the wrong decision keeping him around.Like I disagree that Davenport was kept around.
