  1. Odd way to work though Solanke the only player the money could be spent on. Only thing that makes it a little credible is the amount of players Bournemouth brought in but it would take shattering our transfer record to get him
  2. If we have the money for Solanke why don't they have a second choice?
  3. Are they selling Brennan Johnson then? as they have Johnson, Davis, Grabban, supposedly signing Surridge from Stoke and now Gayle?
  4. Who look to have great potential but would it be fair putting the weight of a promotion push on their shoulders if need be? I'm happy enough with the window but if letting these lads out surely at least 1 forward option will be brought in?
  5. Surely Mowbray isn't as idiotic to think we can get through this spell of matches with so little options. He said last week a forward close and wasn't on about Hedges so where has the money gone for that? I don't think Butterworth has been great but we can't bring Ayala on up front every match
  6. Bearne a Liverpool youngster and Nunn from Chelsea at the age they should be playing senior football somewhere though.Be for next season I presume
  7. Surely someone coming in.Dolan 3 weeks off Dack not fit , Gally unreliable fitness wise
  8. It's the last home game of the season if automatic promotion is on in play it will get a big crowd
  9. If a keeper was on the agenda you would think they would have Pears out now. Be a worry over kaminski getting injured for rest of season with no keeper brought in
  10. As exciting as that sounds if the money is available to make such exciting purchases it's not a good way of working to not have alternatives waiting if they don't come off.
  11. And he might have been but if Bournemouth are paying him more wages than we probably pay our best player then we can't compete with that
  12. You can have as many loans as you want but only allowed a certain amount in the squad on a match day So with Poveda out still could bring another
  13. The manager was disappointed to lose him to be fair.Im not that excited by the signing myself but he only cost 200k and rather him signed now than on a pre contract.
  14. We must have SOME money last week we were close to bringing in a foreign based attacker and every interview Mowbrays been talking about incomings. Why is he saying this if no funds?
  15. It was on sky and think I saw mention of it on the Lancashire telegraph feed. It said all paperwork done subject to medical
  16. It said earlier all the paperwork had been done
  17. Giles is done, all the paperwork anyway
  18. It isn't nonsense. He had already been told that they were not going to sanction his sale. Again if your boss gives you an instruction and you disagree with it do you call a staff meeting to tell them what you would do. Mowbray should have kept his mouth shut. Unless a deal was agreed or was likely to happen then he should have kept to the injury line. Where has going public got us?Fracturing relations between the fan base and Rothwell.
  19. He should have stuck with the injury line.He didn't have to attempt to force the owners hand to sell him by going public. The owners had already told the people at Ewood that they wouldn't sanction his departure. When your boss gives you instructions and you disagree with it do you start mouthing off in public what you would do? Mowbray has been in the game long enough to know how sections of the support would react to this news.
  20. Do you agree with Mowbray that we should have allowed Rothwell join Bournemouth? They made the decision that they didn't want a key player being sold to a promotion rival and I agree with it . They could easily have instructed the people at Ewood to get what they could for Nyambe , Lenihen and Rothwell but they didn't.And will receive nothing for them now
  21. Mate if you believe owners don't have a say in transfer dealings at other clubs then you are deluded. If they felt selling one of our better performers to a direct promotion rival was ridiculous then they are well within their rights to stop the deal going ahead. They own the club and it is their money.
  22. I agree the owners shouldn't get involved in footballing decisions in terms of signings and teams selections etc but they most certainly should have the final say over a player's sale.
  23. One or two more in key positions would be welcome but it's still a decent window. Zeefuik,Markanday and Hedges done.Giles likely. No players sold. If Dack can get his fitness then that is another attacking option to add, Dolan also will be back from injury. Even if no other signings are made, we are still well and truly in the mix for promotion.
  24. Think it was brought up an hour or so before deadline Things could be happening but if any fee was agreed with another club surely be known by now
  25. Stoke selling Surridge to Forest. Nothing must be close on a midfielder as they haven't let Davenport out
