  1. If we were midtable maybe but i wouldnt be taking that gamble now with the position we are in
  2. Buckley has been at the club since the age of 6 no chance he goes to a relegation threatened Burnley. He is under contract for another 3 years if he continues his progression he will be worth at least double he is now in 12 months time
  3. We will be minus Nyambe,Rothwell, Lenihen and Brererton if we dont go up
  4. If its a permanent deal then looks an exciting signing.
  5. Who have been saying most season "expect Brereton to be sold in the summer" The only way any of those players are with us next season is if we get promotion.
  6. So im guessing Rothwell,Nyambe, Lenihen and Brererton wont be replaced next season? Spending 4 or 5 million when promotion is realistic isnt going to send the club under. Eat in to the summer budget now while players find us attractive. We will not have the same pull in the summer if we dont get promoted.
  7. My point is the profit on Armstrong and the likely profit on Brererton proves that model is working in terms of making profit. Why move away from it? To get any of that money back they are going to have to speculate. Whats the alternative?Watch the club die a slow death?
  8. Every other club didnt sell tickets in that period. If £4 or £5 million being spent after selling Arma for 15 and the training ground for 16.6 million would lead to a transfer ban then just how badly are we being run?
  9. Is 4 or 5 million a big chunk? We are in 3rd.Use some of the summer budget whilst we are an attractive proposition for players. The time to gamble(a little) is now
  10. In the space of a year after promotion from League one we invested near 15 million on 3 forward players in Armstrong,Brererton and Gally. Armstrong big profit and Brererton another big profit likely. Now sat 3rd an attractive place for players to come and no money forthcoming.Joke
  11. People might have questioned it at the time but it would soon be forgotten about if the players replacing them came in and did a good job. As it stands all 3 be gone for nothing with seemingly no money to replace them. Come on iv defended the owners myself but after recieving 15 million for Armstrong, the training ground being sold, sat third in the table surely its not unreasonable to expect some money to be spent in this window
  12. If the financial situation is bad as suggested then why do we leave it so late to sell Assets.Armstrong sold 1 year left...Brererton sold 1 year left...Rothwell,Nyambe and Lenihen no transfer fees recieved. 18 months of a pandemic, money tight for most. The clubs answer was putting Ticket prices up
  13. The club have allowed the players to run their contracts down. These contract offers should have been made with 2 years left on their deals. And if they couldnt come to an agreement then you sell the player and replace them with the money recieved
  14. Im not advocating going overboard but use our position in the table to attract players now.If that means eating into some of the summer budget then so be it.We havent had a chance like this in 10 years. £4 or £5 million should be made available
  15. Chaddy we have brought in 15 million for Armstrong 16.6 million for the training ground Brererton will fetch at least £15 million in the summer Yet we are still worrying about FFP. Its a joke! Even Mowbray talking about planning for next season. He doesnt sound very confident in our chances of promotion does he? Forest are spending knowing they can sell Worrall or Johnson in the summer. We are in a much better position in the table than them and have an asset in Brererton. Plus would you not think it would be wise and sensible using our position in the table to our advantage by attracting players.Players now will see us in 3rd place In the summer they will see a club that have lost 4 of their best players.Losing 3 of them for nothing!
  16. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/19846427.blackburn-rovers-tony-mowbray-january-transfer-window-restrictions/ Joke!
  17. Id come to terms with the fact that if any of the 3 do end up signing new deals it will be at the end of the season. Why would they sign them now?We could be a premier league club in a few months time if things go our way and if we do get promoted our wage budget will become a lot healthier.
  18. They have offered him a new deal and given him a little gametime in Europe.Even if he refuses the new deal they would still be due compensation at tribunal. A loan move and gametime could see them recieve a higher fee at tribunal. He seems rated there
  19. Arsenal aint daft though. They will see us sat 3rd in the league amongst the highest scorers, with the second top scorer in the league and another loanee in Khedra performing admirably. Boro were in need of front players coming in to the side immedietly. No guarantee Balagoun will be anything special either.By all accounts Nkieth was rated just as highly and was mediocre at best when on loan at Leeds
  20. I was one of those and il be honest i was totally fed up with Mowbray after last season and didnt want him being given too much money as felt even making the playoffs under his watch was a dream that would never ever become reality. At the time i could understand the Armstrong sale being used to balance the books but since then we have been made aware of the training ground sale for 16.6 million and Brerertons stock has risen so high none of us could have predicted. The owners can have no excuse for not releasing a bit of money this window with our position if they really mean that they are "Totally committed to getting the club back to the Premier league"
  21. Like you i wouldnt go full tilt. But with the fall back of a Brererton sale i dont see why £5 or so million couldnt be invested in this window. Be daft not to spend this window and then give a decent kitty in the summer after losing out on promotion and then selling Brererton. We are in a very good position in the table right now and players will find us an attractive proposition with a chance of promotion.
  22. Balogun and Arsenal will want guaranteed starts for him.At the moment we can not offer that with the form of Brererton amd Khedra.Boro had a need for fowards to come straight into the first 11 Nkieth went on loan to leeds from Arsenal a few seasons ago, and i dont remember him being that much of a success.
  23. I would rather a more experienced player and of course it would be a gamble. But would we not have said the exact same abouk Khedra, he wont help us get promoted?
  24. Will Spurs really be open to selling him?Cant say im convinced this would be anything other than a loan deal. He made his debut in the Europa conference league coming on for the last 15 minute v Vitesse. He seems to be seen as one of their more brighter prospects and they are trying to get him tied down to a new contract.
