  1. We have sold 2 players of value in 5 seasons. I will bet £100 with you now that now of those 3 will have signed for other clubs by the window closing. You are just trying to scare monger. No suggestion what so ever that any of the 3 will be sold.So I'm not quite sure how you can conclude that Mowbray is trying to drive the price up. Why would Rothwell want to join Bournemouth in this window? He has 6 months left on his deal he can speak to who he wants in the summer. How stupid would he feel if he did join them, we got promoted and Bournemouth didn't.
  2. At this point it doesn't matter what Rothwell wants anyway. We have said not for sale.We aint selling any of em unless silly money comes in. Mercers post is based on nothing. We have sold 2 first team players in 5 seasons and now we are going to sell one of Nyambe, Rothwell or Lenihen for a pittance with 18 games left and sat second in the table.
  3. Mercer he isn't going anywhere He sat there and praised the owners for keeping him and said bids had been turned down that where more than double what Bournemouth had offered. How stupid would he look and the owners if we accepted a bid of 4 Million now? It is what it is,he isn't for sale.
  4. If it's only loans I think it will be easier to loan a decent left back than midfielder. With the left back we can offer a chance of a starting place as Pickering is 3/4 weeks off. Edun is better in midfield, use him there if Travis is out.
  5. Suppose it doesnt really matter if its true or not. Looks like none of the players will be leaving which is what we all wanted. The owners didnt cash in like many predicted.
  6. Mowbray says we have turned down bids twice as big as Bournemouth from other clubs for Rothwell https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/19878551.blackburn-rovers-stance-joe-rothwell-future-bids-rejected/
  7. Obviously target the win but a draw here wouldn't be terrible. Il go 0-1
  8. Forest are 9 points behind us and Boro 10, I honestly don't see those 2 catching us. Yeah we won't win every game but they won't either.Still a chance Forest lose Brennan before deadline aswell
  9. Could do loan with obligation/option to buy in the summer if that's the case?
  10. Get in.West Brom losing
  11. Preston unlucky not to be ahead
  12. It's your attitude towards younger players that is nonsensical.Earlier in the season Butterworth was bright when he came on and is clearly rated higher than Chapman at the club. It's the same thing with Buckley every single week you were dropping him. Butterworth may turn out to not be up to it at this level but I'm certain me , you and anyone else on here haven't seen enough of him at senior level to know if he isn't very useful I do respect your views and there is a lot of stuff I agree with what you say. But when it comes to this I just don't think you have an eye for a younger player like Buckley, Brererton useless, Armstrong wont be good up front for us etc. I criticise players myself but I don't make statements like ",I don't think Butterworth is useful" after a few sub appearances and a couple of those he was decent
  13. Still writing off young players I see.If you were in charge Buckley would have been given up. Young players need runs of games, not ten minutes here and there before you can judge. Not sure how you can say "I'm not sure he is that useful" when he has hardly played. Clearly rated by the club his injury issues stunted his development. He should be sent on loan I agree with that but certainly not judging him now as he does have the talent but 2 years out of the game has affected him and his fitness needs to be worked on.
  14. 6 goals and 3 assists suggest he is contributing more this season than just the good game against Hull. The numbers don't lie.5 goals and 3 assists in 10 starts is good going.
  15. So 5 goals and 3 assists in 10 starts isn't good going? Everyone recognizes he isn't the most technically gifted but he is playing his part .
  16. In his last ten starts he has 5 goals and 3 assists.Im not his biggest fan either but those are good numbers
  17. I don't know mate but he does look quality
  18. If mcAtee happened that would be a next level loan
  19. The Markanday transfer he had as a loan.A permanent deal was mentioned from the Spurs side. I don't think the club discuss names or finance and keep their cards close to their chest when it comes to the let. They only ever go into detail when the players name is already in the public domain after someone else breaking it. I believe after the deal is done he has more access to information about the deal, the club will answer his questions then. We might not be after Maja and maybe we have hardly any money to spend but he wouldn't know,. People maybe think they would spend a bit of money due to the fact they spent 12 million on 3 attackers in the space of a year, brought 12 players through the door last season with no crowds and other seasons money has been spent and wasted. You are right they have gone through periods of spending only to cut the budget totally back. It usually coincides when coming to the end of a cycle. You have your views on Ffp but the majority of people reporting on it and people on here clued up on it say we have very little leeway. Sharpe has said plenty of times in his pieces that finance is tight with the club having to stay within the Ffp guidelines, he has said it on twitter as well. Sorry for all the edits putting my lad in bed
  20. Sharpe also said the reason no spend on transfer fees is due to ffp.I take it your a believer now?
  21. Does he?Id say the he has about as much as a clue as the rest of us. When was the last time(if ever) he broke a transfer story? Like today for example, he said he enquired if Maja was the European based player we were hoping to sign.If it is him do you think the club would have said yes Rich?Do you think the club would tell him how much money we have to spend. The majority of the transfer news when broken comes from elsewhere and the Let follow it up.
  22. Yeah he is definitely playing his part this season and it was a lovely finish last night. The £5 million fee will be forgotten about if he helps get us over the line and promoted
  23. Sharpe doesn't have a clue tho.The club tell him nothing . Markanday was only going to be a loan signing according to Sharpe.
  24. I recorded it and watched it last night after I got back from the game there was a definite Boro bias and they wouldn't shut up about Wilder. In fairness to Downing pre match he said both us and Boro would make the playoffs. Hardly surprising he was more focused on Boro when he supports the club and is from the area One stat from last night regarding Gallagher in his last 10 starts 5 goals and 3 assists.Good numbers
  25. It's our last home game, second last game of the season. We play big club Birmingham on the last day. Bournemouth play Fulham the week before us
