  1. Dont think Nyambe will go anywhere this window. Have you heard Leeds from the same source as the rest of us?A couple of fan led websites?
  2. Sky reporting we have a bid in for Hedges
  3. Hoping Edun was bought as they see him in a different position than back uo left back as his better performances have come elsewhere in the side. If there are funds to bring in loans or permanents a left back should come into consideration as Edun does look a weak link there and this is Pickerings second spell out with injury now
  4. From what i read its leeds playing hardball and not agreeing to terminate the deal
  5. On you ruling out people out due to them not being suited to our formation/style of play, you have done it with Maja too, werent you saying earlier in the season you are a great believer in us having a plan b or c?
  6. That isnt fact that was Dack was sold before he was injured. Someone saying on here it was happening doesnt make it fact. I find it very hard to believe that a deal was done for Dack.If true why was he playing in the match he got injured in in the first place. What i do know to be fact is that West Brom had a big money move for Dack rejected confirmed by the West Brom assistant Graeme Jones the previous January You are criticising the club for something that hasnt even happened yet. I agree that its a joke we have left it get to the stage where he only has 6 months left on his deal but not one reputable news outlet has reported that Nyambe is close to being sold. We needed another RB and the noises are we are signing this guy from Berlin.Nyambe has 6 months left, down the line we may need a replacement in the meantime we need competition for that position How can we criticise the club for selling Nyambe when nothing of substance suggesting he will be sold this month?
  7. Yeah but what i meant is to start games.Elanga has been in and around united squad im sure he would have the required fitness for 45 minutes or 30 to contribute. Admittedly my viewing of him has been limited but going off what i have seen and what iv read he looks to have the ability that would trouble defenders at this level. In the immediate we dont need someone to come in and start ,if he is more talented than the alternative then i wouldnt be against signing him even if it takes 3/4 weeks before he is ready to start or last 90 minutes
  8. Do we need anyone in foward areas to be immediately called upon? Elanga would be a great option to have .At the minute we couldnt be dropping Brererton, Buckley or Khedra from the starting line up. Most players available for loan or transfer that are likely to come within budget will most likely be lacking in playing time.
  9. The sun story was Nyambes place in the team under threat with the arrival of the defender from Berlin. Didnt suggest any transfer was imminent for Nyambe
  10. Nixon reckons Elanga is being touted to championship clubs he would be better than Diallo imo. United would want guaranteed playing time for either of those 2 though
  11. Im waiting on Chaddy screenshotting whatever Rovers line Nixon has in The Sun this morning.
  12. Cambridge 1 up at Newcastle.Trippier making his debut
  13. From the players perspective why would they carry on negotiating with the club at the minute when in 6 months if we are promoted they will be negotiating with a Premier league club who can afford to commit to higher cost contracts. Agreed these deals should have been sorted long ago but im not buying these stories...Rothwell going to Bournemouth etc. Even the Nyambe leeds link there hasnt been a serious article on it
  14. Story originated from a Pete O'Rourke tweet. He is usually on the money
  15. Mowbray been saying nobody leaving last couple of interviews. Waggott made those comments pre our terrific form?We where 1 of about 10 teams in and around the play offs. With the best will in the world nobody could have seen(people within the club included) that we would be sat 2nd now with the performance levels as they are. These "links" are they even legitimate.Have the Leeds paper even run with the Nyambe story. The Rothwell link earlier, yes the original tweet posted the guy is reputable but i didnt find it suprising or alarming.I would have been alarmed if he said "Bournemouth and Blackburn in talks over Rothwell deal" he didnt though he said they are interested which isnt surprising
  16. Some of those tackles would lead to reds in this division. His background looks decent though and he is a good age if this link turns out to be true its good in the sense the club are still looking at the European market.
  17. Only a few days ago sky ran with the story that the owners said nobody for sale. Best case is it plays out that way and whstever signings we make are brought in to compete with the players here. Its silly season apparantly we rate Rothwell above £1 million, is that 1.1..1.2...5...10 million. He has had a terrific start to the season is it any surprise that teams like Bournemouth would be interested? When these comments were made about listening to offers for the players coming to the end of their contracts we were midtable and looking destined for another season of treading water. Many on here had us down for a relegation battle and it must even come as a surprise to the coaching staff and team how well we have performed this season. I just dont believe(as stupid as they are)they will cash in on players this month especially to direct rivals like Bournemouth with the position we find ourselves in
  18. I like the look of Styles at Barnsley but Dembele has that moment of magic too We dont know if he is leaving.Mowbray said he wanted another senior right back, the irish guy hasnt been brought in as a first teamer he will be with the 23s for the rest of the season most likely What we do know is that he only has 6 months left on his deal and its likely we will need to sign a right back.Surely its sensible making this signing.
  19. Pickering doesnt have 6 months left on his deal if he had maybe we would be discussing his injury issues. I agree with parts of your earlier reply.I agree that Nyambe is a better defender than Pickering. But performance levels have been similar this season, they have both had poor games and both had good games.I think potentially Nyambe could play at a higher level than Pickering if he becomes more competent in the final third but i think currently Pickering is better suited to the game the manager is asking the team to play.Pickering for me has got better the more games he played,he had come from a mediocre league one side in Crewe i think that has to be taken into account when judging his earlier performances.I wasnt one of the folk bigging up his signing,id heard of him but seen next to nothing of him,i heard them discussing hin on a efl transher special on sky. I know nothing of this potential signing but seems to have a decent pedigree and if the club feel Nyambe wont sign a new deal its a good move getting this fella in on loan wirh an option.Out of interest what would you be offering max to tempt Nyambe into a new contract? Currently i would be offering 10/11/12 i wouldnt go further than that. His game needs to improve for clubs to be paying a fee that would warrant more than that.
  20. Id say potentially but not currently,Nyambe better but not 3 or 4 million better.Nyambe will never be a top player unless he improves in the final third.
  21. Are you really tho?Is Nyambe currently that much better than Pickering who we picked up for 650k?Pickering seems to be getting better game by game. Like i said i do rate Nyambe but if as good and irreplacable as you suggest then why is he still here if his wage is as low as suggested. We have premier league scouts at every game he could have been bought by a Premier league for a pittance in their terms
  22. If Nyambe has made it clear that he wont be signing a new deal(im unconvinced its purely financial in his case) and we are being offered 3 or 4 million for him id consider it if that money was being reinvested in the squad THIS window. My preference would be that he signs a new deal as i do rate him but out of the 3 i dont think he is as important as the other 2 with the current system we are playing and out of the 3 i think he would be the easist to replace in the short term.He does have work to do on his game.I do think the team would be better having someone who is better in the final 3rd, but obviously need to be as close to how good Nyambe is at the back. Maybe this guy being brought in to compete with Nyambe which would be a very positive move by the club with hopefully another couple of signings on the way. The biggest ballache with the contract situation is we cant fully enjoy the moment, 2nd in the league and performing with real conviction.Roll on Feb 1st
  23. Exactly. And i for one think out of contract players at all championship clubs will be in for rude awakening when they go looking for new clubs. The days of players getting 25k+ per week are over in this division imo
