  1. Travis is contracted to 2023 with a further year in the clubs favour so effectively he is contracted for another 3 years
  2. He is now saying permanent signings might be made, he wouldn't be saying this if he hadn't been the go ahead.Thev"we might be able to" is him just waffling on again. I agree with what you say above , in the sense the manager should be sacked and the people behind and others but in place. But whenever they turn off the taps it is after 2 years of a manager in charge when it is coming close to EFL looking over the books and charges time. You have a point that in the past it wasn't cracked down on but they are starting to crack down now. It is the fault of the owners and the people on the ground that more that half the fan base feel alienated and no longer go but the situation is what it is ,our matchday income is minimal compared to other teams in the division, other teams sell their assets at the right time and more often than not get market value. Our wage bill 180 to turnover, who pays the majority of that the owners do.They have spent loads on wages since coming down, the amount of money wasted in the early days was unreal..Best , Murphy, all the foreign lads on big money contracts that we ended up paying up.Rhodes 8 35 grand a week, signing on fees etc, we will be lucky if we got our money back. Mowbrays time here had plenty of money and has had to sell nobody.Mulgrew close to 20 a week ffs. Now we have sold Armstrong they will allow him to spend a bit again. Our problems lay with being incompetent and utterly wasteful added to the fact the club itself isn't generating any cash (I don't want Mowbray being given more money to spend on permanent signings) but will say I think Obafemi would be a good investment for the club
  3. Yeah but let's see what happens as Obafemi could have other interest
  4. He hasn't they could only sign 4 on wages of 4.5 k per week he wasn't one of the four
  5. Yeah but 20% is the standard and more than enough. I don't buy we got him cheap. You are only worth what someone is willing to pay and I didn't see other teams bidding bigger money.Besides his last spell in the division with Bolton didn't work out for him and he was decent in league one with us but nothing amazing. We developed him ,we ironed out a lot of mistakes.I think we have done well to get as much as we have due to him having only a year left on his contract but we could and should be looking at more profit
  6. Other teams in for him ?That can't be true didn't you know he has a terrible attitude
  7. I understand the frustration but come on fella give it a chance and see what happens over the next week or two now the Arma money is in
  8. Yeah . Obafemi in talks over personal terms according to lancs live
  9. Not a Mowbray fan but I give credit when deserved. To bring a player to the club for 1.7 million and make the profit on him which he has then he deserves a bit of credit.(yes it should have been more but still fair play)
  10. Especially when you are getting this info from a few fans on a message board. And the manager has come out since and said his attitude has improved. He was 18 when he broke through its like people can't understand that a person can mature with age and life experience
  11. I'd agree with this if we didn't pick up so many injuries. Jrc can't be relied upon at minute because he breaks down every few matches. It will take Dack until after Christmas most likely to be back.He hasn't had much of an opportunity but can we rely on Chapman.Cirino has had one friendly against Leeds looked good but maybe regular minutes for a season in league 1 or 2 would be best all round for his development
  12. Yes but more like 20% which is what they would get if it went to tribunal
  13. We lost 11 players though.12 if you include Armstrong. We have talent in the under 23s but it's being extremely optimistic to think that 7..8..10..11..12 of those are going to come in and be ready or capable of playing at this level. Some of those would be better sent to league 1 or 2 to develop. I agree we need quality but we need numbers in.Some of the younger players in the academy's from the premier league will be more ready than our own
  14. I agree it does seem strange but must be something in it as I'd be surprised if Mowbray was talking the way he was about Obafemi yesterday if something wasn't close. We will find out soon enough, Southampton will want Armstrong for the weekend
  15. Well then rovers will say no deal?He hasn't put pen to paper yet. If all this stuff about Obafemi is true and Rovers only agreed to the deal If he could be brought in as part of it then we ain't going to sell just for the initial fee agreed,we will want extra money
  16. At this point it's pure speculation as to what will happen . We will find out in the coming days, best to save the praise or criticism until we find out what is happening
  17. 40% of whatever we would get instead of Obafemi would go to Newcastle though. I agree his wages could be a problem but we managed it with Gallagher. We have a years option on Kaminski,we don't know what discussions have been had.
  18. Chaddy if Raya was still here he would be a great player in your opinion. It's like last week debating with me over loan signings, you were adamant you didn't want loan signings brought in.Now we are seemingly signing the lad from Brighton you are happy about it.
  19. He would probably want to be up around our highest earners to renew and I agree his performances on a whole ain't deserving of that . On his day he can look class but those days don't come around too often
  20. It would benefit some of the younger ones and the club long term if the likes of Vale, Garrett, Cirino , McBride and Carter(if we sign a center half) got loaned out for the season. Garrett looked very good against Leeds though,I hope he gets a start tonight
  21. The most important renewals for me are Brererton and Nyambe. We paid a big fee for Ben and it would be absolutely sickening if he joined a team from abroad for nothing when he has started to grow into a good player. Think the ship has sailed with Rothwell.Lenihen has been at the club a long time and he might want a new challenge. Kaminski we have longer to sort out with us having a years option but hopefully we can get something sorted before he moves into his final year
  22. Agree with most of this . The contract situation should be dealt with before anything else but that's not to say Obafemi would be a bad signing, although if he is costing us 6 mill then the money could be spent better. Southampton won't be getting nothing for him If his contract runs down though, it will go to tribunal and will easy get 4 million+ for him so we wouldn't be doing Southampton any favours and if Nixon is correct we ain't the only club interested in him. On your last paragraph I disagree from what Mowbray was saying yesterday looks like the club have decided to spend some money on permanent signings
