  1. Fair play to the manager, i hope he wont revert to type and start making unforced changes. Credit definitely has to go to him and the coaching staff for the vast improvement in some of the players. January is a massive month, hopefully no sales and Brighton aint tempted to recall Van Hecke
  2. It was 140% to turnover pre pandemic i think
  3. Reading v luton and Millwall v Preston off at the weekend
  4. Sell in the summer then.Ffp isnt a concern with the money brought in and the budget slashing in the last 12 months. The owners say they are "committed to getting the club back to the premier league" well selling your top scorer in the midst of a promotion push isnt the commitment i want to be seeing
  5. 12 months previous to that we turned down a big money bid from West Brom for Dack confirmed by the West Brom assistant at the time Graham Jones. The move your on about wasnt reported by the media it was said on here by JB and has manifasted itself into gospil on here(sorry jb i have no doubt you were told it but you have said a few things that havent come to fruition)
  6. Why didnt we sell Adam Armstrong last January? If he was available he would have been bought by somebody. We kept Jordan Rhodes 18 months after he first made noises about wanting to move.I also know from his side we turned down bigger bids than the one we eventually sold him for. Brererton has had a sensational year it is no surprise the media are linking him here there and everywhere. Some of the articles written state he only has 6 months left and dont even mention the years option in the clubs favour. I will reiterate what i said earlier if he does get sold for 20/25 million in January with things as healthy as they are then there can be no defence of the owners. We have sold Armstrong, money for Raya, sold the STC for 16.6 and cut the wage bill a Brererton sale would have nothing to do with ffp
  7. Same old stuff said.He wont be sold in January imo
  8. Wouldnt shock to see the return of behind closed doors games
  9. The qpr match is set to be called off due to covid outbreak. United have had a few positives as have Aston Villa.
  10. Or play for Brighton in the premier league.Nothing to suggest Brighton want rid of him
  11. He signed for an initial £2 million. We couldnt afford Tosin he will be on more than double our highest earner
  12. If his form continues the way it is then he will still have interest in the summer. We should not be contemplating selling Brererton in January. We have cut the wage bill, recieved 15 million for Armstrong and 16.6 million has been put into the club via the training ground sale Ffp shouldnt be a concern at this time
  13. Majority would have said the same if Brererton had been given a new deal 12 months ago. It only takes one good season from a young english striker and you see their value in the market increase To me its good news in the sense they are trying to get players tied down rather than getting into the situation we are now with 3 important players out of contract in the summer
  14. Gallagher close to signing a new contract according to that article
  15. Tm reckons he could be back next week
  16. Kaminski is definitely out tomorrow according to TM
  17. If we didnt have Brererton we wouldnt be in 4th spot now.If we sell in January and money is given for a striker it will be most likely be a development signing again. Iv defended the owners in terms of money spent on the playing squad in the mowbray reign and i know that they havent wanted to sell players in the past so i dont think he will be sold but if he is for £20 million then i dont think there is any defending of them and promotion is not a top priority From the outside looking in and looking at Brerertons demeanour and some of the things he has said he looks to be really enjoying his football so i dont believe he is knocking on the managers door asking to leave. He will still get 15 in the summer
  18. We should not be accepting offers of £20 million for Brererton in January with the table and our performances looking as healthy as they are. I personally dont think we will sell in January but if they do sell him for £20 million this season then the owners will deserve every bit of abuse they get.
  19. Even if the interest is genuine we shouldnt be selling for 20 million in the January window if we are still in with a shout for promotion.Likely to get at least 15 for him in the summer anyway.
  20. Be stupid selling for £20 million in january if we are still sitting pretty in a play off place. With another year left on his deal we are likely to get bids of 15 million in the summer anyway so it is worth the risk of losing out on 5 million if we dont get promoted. And if Sevilla do come in in the january window we say "Sorry Ben you are under contract and we have a chance of promotion, we will look at things again in the summer" Plus Sevilla have had a link via Nixon, they could be looking at him but are they going to nearly match or better their transfer record to sign a player from the Championship?
  21. Did Nyambe and Rothwell get pay rises when their year options kicked in?Nothing to suggest they did, and if i am not mistaken we didnt activate the year in those contracts until last season had finished.
  22. 2 million transfer fee but how much is he on a week? It was never going to be realistic to sign him permanently unless we had got promoted
  23. Dont remember any press speculation at that time, i remember JB saying it on here that he heard Dack to West Brom was a done deal. Both Moore and Jones who initiated the interest in Dack in the first place had moved on from West Brom at that point
  24. That bid that Jones speaks of was the previous January,a year before Dack got injured. We turned the bid down
  25. Graham Jones who was assistant to Darren Moore at the time comfirmed West Brom did bid for Dack that January https://www.lutontoday.co.uk/sport/football/international-football/luton-chief-reveals-he-tried-sign-blackburn-star-during-his-time-baggies-937028
