  1. I mean absolutely no disrespect to you but i just dont think you have a clue when it comes to evaluating a young players talent and potential. Off the top of my head you have said, Mount only involved with Chelsea due to his relationship with Lampard.Declan Rice not very good.Brererton a donkey and will never score goals.Armstrong wont be able to play up front on his own(12 months after you saying this you were debating any post that showed Armstrong any criticism) Young players need spells in the side to develop you think they should come in as the finished article.Buckley doesnt need to be left out every time he has a poor game like you always suggest. Plenty i agree with in some of your views, but when it comes to this i just dont think you have an eye for a player
  2. They are trying to negotiate a new deal with him.Does it matter they havent activated it yet? Sharpe has asked the club, that link you just posted is probably some kid in his bedroom writing it If you are that confident there is no year option and you believe he will go on a free then have the bet with me.Easy £100 for you
  3. First half no arguments.Second half i thought he was one of the players who tried to get us going. His goalscoring record is poor but not surprising to me as he doesnt look a goalscorer which is fine as he has plenty of other attributes, and in fairness he has been moved around he hasnt been playing attacking midfield all season. One of the most talented players on our books imo, and will play in the Premier league
  4. Buckley really poor at the weekend?Nonsense, he was poor the first half as were the rest of the team.He played well in the second half
  5. We have a years option.Accept it. He will not be leaving on a free transfer, leaving yes most likely but for a fee. You keep repeating he will leave on a free so i presume you really believe that. Il bet £100 with you that he wont leave on a free transfer?
  6. Brererton wasnt made available until late in the window by Forest and he was being touted around to clubs On Celina he didnt name names but Mowbray said we had agreed a deal to bring in a midfielder from City only for our wage offer to be blown out the water by another championship club.Celina was the only City midfielder to move for a fee to a championship club that summer. You are right it was all very late with the deals but Mowbray spent that summer telling us money was available
  7. So the bids for Celina and Freeman that summer added to the other players that were brought in was just my imagination? And wasnt the Rhodes deal put foward to Shebby Singh by Glen Mullan and the fans group?
  8. Your last paragraph is simply not true.Check it back.Brereton was made available by forest they needed money brought in as they had spent big that summer. It was highly publicised at the time that Forest were touting him to other clubs and even hired an agent to get a deal done. They stated at the time they wouldnt be selling for less than 7 million. And as for Balaji wanting to show off to his mates over making profit on a young player(you mentioned Rhodes earlier). The owners did not want to sell Rhodes, i know for a fact that we turned down bigger bids than the 1 we eventually accepted and Rhodes wanted out way before we sold him. And even after we sold him we hardly made a profit considering we paid 8 million for him and been paying him 35 grand a week
  9. The owners pay for every signing so what makes the Brererton deal different that Balajis name is being brought into it? Luke Freeman who we had multiple bids turned down for that summer was 26. Mowbray had money to spend that summer,we had multiple bids turned down for other players.Forest didnt make Brererton available until very late in rhe window, even hiring an agent to get him sold.He was offered to the club And if the club remit is to sign young domestic players with room for growth and potential profit then what is the problem with that? Surely that would be the sensible way to run our club with the income we have.
  10. Yet Mowbray confirmed that Celina who joined Swansea for 8 million was close only for Swansea offered better wages. If the money was only for a young striker how do you explain the multiple bids for Luke Freeman at QPR that summer, a 26 year old and an attacking midfielder? If thats your opinion about Brereton then fair enough but why have you been praising Mowbray for the signing so?
  11. Johnson had one year left on his derby contract actually. Derby thought his legs were gone so Mowbray gives the green light for a 2 + 1 year contract for him?Great decision making and management Where is your evidence Brererton was a Balaji signing?
  12. And not every player has been signed for a profit.Isnt that the point im making with those 3 mentioned?
  13. It isnt speculative, if you want to believe those players took a significant drop in wages to come here without something to compensate it then id say you are living in a fairytale.
  14. No i understood but the other deals Ayala,Johnson ,Holtby werent really free transfers over the terms of their contracts and whatever signing on fees involved were expensive deals, Brererton is on a reported 4k a week here.Ayala ,Holtby and Johnson on 20+ at their previous clubs. No return on investment coming from that outlay and commitment unless promotion
  15. Yes but giving 2 and 3 year deals to the likes of Ayala,Johnson and Holtby and then the shorter term players , Rodwell and Downing, these fellas were on more money at their previous clubs than our highest earner, logically they would have been compensated with significant signing on fees.Johnson isnt walking away from a lucrative year at Derby to come here for a lot less.
  16. His agent was drawing up the contract and allegedly practically running the club at the time
  17. How do you know it was Balaji who wanted Brererton?Have you evidence for this? Not according to Mowbray when he was waxing lyrical about Brereton when the signing was done. Gallagher was on 20+ at Southampton, he took a reduction to sign on here so he will be on 17/18 a week and will have got a nice signing on bonus too
  18. We have a limited budget though.A manager will want to make his own team.Would you be happy if we spend in January and then no money available for the next guy? If pre contract signings are made it only points in one direction and thats Mowbray being here next season. We were linked with Hedges before Park even joined the club.
  19. Plus the league is incredibly weak this season. We are doing ok but a couple of defeats in a row would put us mid table/botton half. Mowbray isnt the man to take us foward but like you i worry this ok start in a a very weak division will lead to a new contract for Mowbray
  20. In the summer maybe but midway through the season with the current manager having only a few months left on his deal?If he is to be replaced then we should be keeping what money we have available for the next guy.
  21. Yes but they have just paid 16.6 million into the club for it.For it to be something underhand i presume the owners would be making a significant profit on that 16.6 million if they were to sell it on?
  22. No it isnt the owners could have sold it externally at any time. They own the club and all its assets. At the time it was done the club needed that money for ffp reasons. If the owners sell the land on how much are they likely to get for it?I presume with your theory it will be a lot more than the 16.6 million they have already paid for it? Whats changed from last year when they pulled out of building housing on it due to the locals opposing it?Is it likely housing will be built on that land? If you can give an answer to these questions then maybe il start believing these nonsencical theories.
  23. There is absolutely no evidence to support the thought the owners are planning on putting us into admin or selling the club If any of that was a remote possibility at this time then they wouldnt be trying to work around ffp by selling the STC.They would have taken the points deduction and the transfer embargo which would have given them an excuse if they had no plans to spend in the transfer market
  24. They own the club and all the assets that come with it so at ANY point they could have sold the STC
  25. Mowbray is on record saying Pickering is number 1 left back.It will be fitness/illness related
