  1. Totally agree what you say about the owners apart from the just covering losses part ,they have given competitive funds since Mowbray here and when we first came down agreed to spend silly money stupidly. But Mowbray has had a very big hand in the situation we find ourselves in.He will have meetings etc with the finance people and would have known were we stood. It was on his recommendation that lucrative and long term deals were given to the "men" in the dressing room only for 5 minute later the likes of Mulgrew on way out and we had to pay him for nothing for 2 years.Plus the decision to spend 12 million quid on two young players was on his recommendation. You keep making out we should feel sorry for Mowbray that we can't do anything in the market when it is his mistakes that put us in this position
  2. Yeah the underlying issue is who they put in place to run the club, have never disputed that. My argument here is the people on the ground are the ones who got us into an embargo.Mowbray would have known the situation, there is absolutely no doubt about that.
  3. How are the owners at fault for the embargo that restricted us? They employ people to deal with that sort of thing.The.people on the ground Waggott and Cheston etc are the ones at fault for that. Are you trying to say that Mowbray had no idea what was coming?I don't believe that for one minute.Waggot , Cheston, Mowbray and the rest working on the ground would know what was likely to happen. Mowbray says different things to the media every time he is interviewed.Just before Armstrong was sold he said in an interview that a little bit of money would be spent on a permanent signing. The owners are shit, they do put money in though that can't be disputed. They Pay the majority of the wage bill and have given money for signings every season that Mowbray has been here. The biggest problem with our owners is who they leave in charge to run the club .Most owners do not get involved with the day to day running of their clubs they put competent people in place
  4. Same story with Longstaff https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/newcastle-united-matty-longstaff-loan-21348396
  5. They want him to sign a years extension before letting him out according to reports
  6. Nixon saying Blackpool have had 500k bid turned down for Sale.Crewe want 1 million
  7. I presume he means flew in(not from one of the Manchester clubs) and with his parents (young)
  8. He played well against Forest and in the games before. Results are better with him in the side.He is a centre half playing for a mid table championship club not Franco Baresi, he will make mistakes as most defenders at this level do. Do you not think we have enough positions to fill after losing 12 players? We need players in the door not out
  9. I'm with you on this.Hopefully we can pick up a win next weekend.Boro are beatable
  10. There are worse teams and squads than us. We are not unique with having a weak bench plenty in this division have.Hopefully a few will come in before the 31st to strengthen the squad
  11. Tommy Doyle who has been linked was on the bench for City today. Nixon been saying Liam Delap will be off to Stoke
  12. It isn't we have a years option
  13. Apologies I misunderstood. But still with a young player like that surely fairer to look at his progression and improvements. He was playing in league 2 the season before, and 11 goals from a wide position in league one for Crewe shows improvement. I have never seen the guy play and agree with what others have said ,I'd be ok with it once he isn't Armstrong's replacement,we need someone else in .
  14. Dale the lad being discussed scored 11 goals in league 1 last year. You said he scored once in 8 games???
  15. He scored 11 goals last season? Besides Joe isn't recommending him as a signing which he stated was just informing us that Dales mother has started following accounts to do with Rovers
  16. Showing imaginary players around the training ground?
  17. Yeah what's that all about.I could understand with Armstrong because we couldn't be losing out on a fee as high as his.But Rothwell, what would we get 1 or 2 million, he has started the season well we can't be letting him go with the squad as it is.
  18. Sharpe saying on his Twitter feed that he has been trying to speak to Waggott for ages with no joy. Every time I read the minutes from fans forum his answer to questions 9 times out of 10 is "I'll look into it" Absolute joker.
  19. Don't disagree about our owners being a problem. But the manager has been well backed since coming here in previous seasons with money for transfers and contract renewals. It was on Mowbrays recommendation that a bunch of ageing and substandard players were given Lucrative contracts. We can't blame the owners for that.
  20. W Disappointing but surely the club will have been sounding out other clubs and players anyway?Well that's what most normal clubs would do.
  21. He has not joined another club.Once we have a striker in by deadline day I am not bothered if they miss the Boro game if the right player is brought in, and in my opinion out of all the players linked I feel Obafemi is the best of them.
  22. Most of the contracts that have been run down have been players we haven't wanted to keep and couldn't sell them because of the deals they were on here. All the players we signed after relegation from the premier League, and Mowbray handed out new contracts like sweets when we got promoted from League one to ageing and substandard players. Can only think of Mahoney in recent times that I was gutted at losing on a free and he hasn't done too well since leaving here.King before him but again he wasn't a regular in the side.
  23. You don't know that Nyambes refusal to sign a new contract is down to money though. He has had spells out of the side every season and in my opinion Mowbray doesn't seem to rate him as highly as I do. I agree we need to be more pro active but just disagree with you that it's as simple as just giving whatever player what they want to get them signed up.Its great in theory to say get em signed up and we can sell them down the line.It doesn't always work out like that and due to the pandemic, transfer fees of significance will be seen less and less at this level and below. And maybe the club are realising they have made mistakes. We have signed two of our brighter prospects in Buckley and Carter to long term deals this summer
  24. Not if he goes abroad though, and if he performs for Chile it wouldn't be a surprise to see Spanish teams take an interest
