  1. Well it us good for us in the short term if he helps keep us in the league. People go on about losing Armstrong which is correct but Elliots contribution of 11 assists and 4 goals shouldn't be under estimated either. He has played 3 times for Liverpool seniors including Champions League and is tied down to a decent contract and is highly rated there. I agree totally it isn't ideal but at the end of the day our squad is well short on numbers if you consider the amount of injuries we pick up season on season. Another relegation to league one and losing most weeks won't be good for our young players development either. At least Clarkson is a Blackburn lad and supporter, it will mean something to him playing for us
  2. Norwich buying a striker from Werder Bremen for 8 million and in talks for a ten million winger from Greece. Can't see them still being in for Arma
  3. Bournemouth's bench looks weak tonight
  4. He walked from Coventry. If he was getting it from the crowd and we were bottom 3 or very close to it he would leave .He isn't thick skinned ,his answers to the media when questioned over why things ain't going well tells us that.
  5. In fairness one thing I will say in Mowbrays favour he does well enough with young loan players both here and at Coventry. Harvey Elliot would have had other clubs after him last season. I do believe we have loan offers in and been waiting for the premier league's senior players to return so they will let their youngsters out
  6. Norwich close to signing a striker from Werder Bremen no idea if that brings their interest in Armstrong to a close
  7. I think he will be a success in the Premier league and deserves a move up but don't see how he has an incredible CV?24 isn't that young either especially for a player whose pace is one of his biggest assets
  8. Yeah Derby.Nobody has said it is all to do with FFP ffs.Stop slagging off fellow supporters just because their views don't align with yours.
  9. Swansea signed Jamie Paterson from Bristol City he is available for tomorrow
  10. Same unless we get a sell on in the deal
  11. So you think Waggott and Cheston etc don't speak with the manager? I find it extremely far fetched that Mowbray wasnt aware of the financial situation before the summer? At the end of the day contract negotiations with players should have been happening a year to 18 months ago. Mowbray has also been in the media previously saying that new contracts were on the table for Nyambe and Armstrong. Our owners are absent and don't take much interest but if someone like wilder and a competent CEO had been in place we would not be in the situation we are in now.
  12. I'm sure Mowbray was in the media before the last season even finished that the budget had been agreed
  13. Mowbray was the one who recommended that Mulgrew,Bennett ,Evans ,Smallwood etc etc etc get improved lucrative deals, after a few month most hardly played. So yes Mowbray has had as big a part as anyone that we are in the situation we are in. It's not new what he says about not wanting loans,he says the same stuff every season
  14. Viera is in there now,Bought Olise a fine young player from Reading.Zaha has wanted out for two seasons but yet is still there and performing to a high level. Norwich like I have cashed in on their best player, and are likely to lose both Cantwell and Aarrons before deadline. Southampton and Palace are far more established in the premier league than Norwich currently
  15. I have never seen the lad play but my sister's fella is a city fan and he raves about him, very highly rated at City, and the grandson of two City legends
  16. Norwich lost Buendia their most creative players to Villa.Media speculation that Cantwell will be following him who is another creative player of theirs.Max Aarrons tipped for a move also. Palace and Southampton are established premier league clubs.Palace have Eze and Zaha two very creative players
  17. Success will be staying up next season,Mowbray could sign Messi and Ronaldo and we wouldn't touch the top 6 with him in charge. It's not a long term fix agreed, but I just want us to get through next season and still be in the league.Let the new man build his own squad as Mowbray is on borrowed time.
  18. Most teams in the league make loan signings. Swansea made the playoffs this year and year before and had quite a few younger loan players. If they are of the right quality which Tosin,Harwood Bellis and Elliott were then their age shouldn't be an issue. It's not my preferred route but we don't have a pot to piss in and the current manager should be gone not allowed to bring in permanent players
  19. Maybe the money will be used to get others signed up to new deals . It's a terrible situation, but there is absolutely no guarantee that Armstrong will be as prolific next season. In the short term we are obviously a way worse off without Armstrong but I really do not see how we can let him go for nothing in 12 months time when the books are telling us we need substantial cash brought in
  20. Do you want Mowbray spending it? I'm fairly sure he won't be here after this season.Id rather we kept our money until the following summer. IL be satisfied staying up next year even if by just a point. But we can't give Mowbray the funds to leave us with more ageing players who a new manager will struggle to get rid of. Maybe it's wishful thinking on my part but I once out of contract Mowbray will be gone as will Venus and Waggott
  21. That's the biggest issue with the club finances handing out contract extensions and handing out lucrative contracts to ageing and players with history of injury issues. We can't afford to give contracts that our assets will sign now because Mowbray decided to sign up the "men" in the dressing room. The amount of money wasted has been absolutely ridiculous
  22. Was Raya not sold the summer we bought Gallagher?
  23. How have we made a profit on player trading since 2019? Who did we sell?
