You keep saying this about the Rhodes money.7 million Brererton, 5 million Gallagher ,1.7 upto 3 million Armstrong,add the multiple other players brought in by Mowbray not to mention the multiple contracts given to ageing players in that time. We bought Rhodes for 8 million and he was on 35 grand a week...they made a tiny profit on Rhodes if that. He is young, English,just finished 2nd top scorer in the championship with 28 goals and has a year left on his deal. Surely wether he is sold or kept it will reflect badly on the manager and Waggott as any fee we are likely to receive will be much lower than we should be getting so why would they be happy to see him leave in those circumstances. He can't be any worse than Douglas and Bell anyway. We paid a transfer fee for him , with the noises coming out of the club it sounds like he will be our only cash buy unless we bring money in from sales.He will presumably start season as first choice.Hard to bring in a loan who will be happy to play back up, and if we do have any funds for cash buys then it should be spent on trying to improve the first 11 not spent on squad fillers, we have an academy for that.
