  1. Nixon wrote about it on Sunday It wasn't a story about Luton and Sheffield Wednesday buying him outright, it was to offer Leicester more money to take over the loan deal. How would Sheffield Wednesday have the £6+ million to take him permanently?Luton do most likely have that money, but no evidence to say they are willing to spend that sort of money? They could have done in the summer
  2. Dolan does start for some other championship clubs . Dolan started plenty of matches when we finished 8th in the league,Hedges and Dolan started plenty of matches when we finished 7th in the league. Hedges and Dolan have started plenty of games this season when we are 7th in the league
  3. Offer them a loan to buy if promotion happens.Leicester won't Care if Stoke are unhappy. There season is going nowhere. He is going to be sold in the summer by Leicester anyway
  4. If the club had any ambition they would go to Leicester City and offer them more money than Stoke City are paying for Cannon. Stoke are going nowhere so Cannon could very well be tempted to join a club with a chance of at least making the playoffs
  5. Toth should start Batth and Tronstad should be rested Apart from that play the strongest 11 we can
  6. He had a falling out with their manager according to the media
  7. Yeah his career went wayward when he joined Forest and then they went on to sign loads of other players. It was the wrong career move he should have gone to Leeds when Biesla was mad for him. He isn't the same player as the one who left Huddersfield, when he was probably the best midfielder in the division
  8. Schlupp is training with a Premier league squad and on the bench for them and has gotten some minutes, he will be fit Cabn play left back ,centre mid ,left wing I'd agree he isn't the answer in terms of goals but he isn't slow, he still has pace that will hurt defences at this level. For me he would be a very good loan signing and I can see why Eustace would want him
  9. Yeah he would be a longer term signing where as we need players who can come in and make an impact immediately if we are to have any chance to be top 6. And we already have Tyjon who the club will be looking to progress over the next year Delap had 2 poor loans in this division and it was 3rd time lucky at Hull before he made an impact
  10. Why? He has played less than 200 minutes of senior football.
  11. Schlupp who only turned 32 less than a month ago has one foot in retirement? Respectfully disagree
  12. I think Schlupp would be a very decent signing. Hanley I would pass on
  13. Vale was at Hull last season and did nothing. Collyer is making the bench for united every week and even if they decide to loan him ,rumoured Leicester have already asked for him. Philogene Ipswich want and absolutely no chance he goes on a loan to a championship team
  14. Yeah it's good going but Eustace has requested experience, Barry doesn't have any at this level
  15. Exactly this. Unproven youngster at championship level and he is going to a team where he is likely to start every week
  16. I'd agree over his entire rovers career he did flatter to deceive however in that season where we were second going into January just above Bournemouth Rothwell had been one of our better players, his drive and industry from midfield had been pivotal and when he gave up our form as a whole took a down turn. In normal circumstances you would look to take the money for a player with 6 months left and reinvest it on a replacement but in my oopinion you shouldn't be selling to the team placed directly below you in 3rd place with more than half the season gone. A gamble was taken that Rothwell would knuckle down but unfortunately it looks like he sulked and downed tools instead if they had have allowed a replacement for him, it wouldn't have been a player of similar ability it would have been a downgrade.Talk of Jed Wallace pie in the sky, wouldn't have paid his wages that others would offer, and he ended up leaving on a free in the summer anyway because Millwall wanted too much money for him that January
  17. Yes.If in a promotion hunt which we where at the time then you don't make your rivals stronger by selling them one of your best players. You don't see many if any clubs selling their better players in January to a direct rival.
  18. I'm not defending the owners I just agrees with that decision, not to sell a star player to a direct promotion rival. And I certainly wasn't the only one on here who agreed with that decision at the time
  19. 3 million I'm not picking and choosing. The only link to Jed Wallace was by someone on here and we wouldn't have paid his wages.Unless you can show me a genuine link. The Lad from reading was in the let and other news outlets Dembele went to Bournemouth. Again I don't agree that Rothwell should have been sold to a direct rival, it didn't work but no guarantee any of that money would have been spent.Managers are over ruled all the time when it comes to transfer decisions. Rovers and venkys ain't unique in that
  20. Wallace was linked by someone on here. Do you honestly think we would have been paying his wages? Dembele had agreed to go to Bournemouth. The let and other media at the time where saying it was Ejario(spelling) from Reading we where in for .
  21. I know yeah we really missed out on that player from Reading that Mowbray wanted. What happened with his career since? At that point it had already been decided they weren't going to renew Mowbrays deal and your mad if you think at other clubs what the manager decides goes. I agreed with the clubs stance at the time, not to sell one of our better players to a direct rival at the time
  22. Waggott said it was Cameron Archer And no don't have a link I disagree with Rothwell ,you don't sell your best performing player(the few months leading up to January)to a direct rival in a promotion race.At the end of the day he was told we weren't selling Rothwell and threw his toys out of the pram and decided to play the saga out through the media. Also up to the point of it becoming evident that he wasn't getting a new contract he had always spoken positively about the owners and how we should be thankful that they always help out
  23. My biggest gripe with Mowbray was when he openly admitted he encouraged our head of recruitment at the time to take the job offered by massive club Sunderland who where in League One at the time .He should have been sacked just for that Also when he sulked because we wouldn't sell Rothwell and turned down the opportunity to bring Cameron Archer in on loan "cus we don't play with a striker " who went on loan to Preston instead and scored goals for them whilst we couldn't score and fell from 2nd in the league to finishing outside the playoffs
