  1. Rothwell and Davenport are long term signings too. Reed just as a loan is the correct decision imo, if he does well and TM decides on keeping him and he is happy then I don't think it will be that hard to do a deal. But we have Travis and Davenport as young centre midfielders and a year playing in League one and Travis could come back ready to challenge for a starting place so might be no need to put some of our budget toward another midfielder in Reed. Would like to see an experienced goalkeeper brought in and another attacker, I wouldn't say no to another centre half but if Mowbray has his heart set on Bauer then I think we can get away with what we have in that position until January (providing Mowbray feels Rodwell can be involved soonish) Been a very good window overall though.
  2. Reported we had a 4 million bid in for Freeman who is a different player to Brererton so presumably we still have that in the kitty. There will be no backing out of the Brereton deal you only have to listen to both the players and managers interviews they are talking long term
  3. Probably sell a player, if we don't go up and if Dack has premier league interest then his sale will most likely cover the outlay made this summer
  4. Nice to see Palmer on the scoresheet again 3 goals now. Nice to see the team pick up another win have to say our performances and results since Dack has been out have been impressive. Hopefully have him back for Sunday though Look to have very good attacking options with everyone fit, a pacey wide man and id be totally happy and being greedy a centre back. But if the window was to shut now I still think we would have had an excellent window
  5. Anyone else trying to stop getting ahead of themselves. Feel something special could happen this season. Let's go to Bristol get a positive result then use the international break to get our walking wounded back to full fitness and show our new signings what we are about. September on paper is going to be a very tough month but these guys look like they have forgotten how to lose.Confidence is brimming.Mowbray fast becoming a legend in my eyes
  6. They could have worded it better but it will be permanent. Two highly rated young England strikers in Armstrong and Brereton for under 10 million excellent buisness.Well done Mogga
  7. Going off what I read unbelievably the option is in our favour but il wait and see what the club say first. Be stupid and very disappointing if Forest can change/pull out of a deal in january
  8. Its not out of choice though is it?We have a number of players injured
  9. What choice did he have but to play a weakened side?Look at the players we have out. Which is more important tonight or Sunday? What would you be saying if he started one or two more first teamers and we picked up more injuries?
  10. He is out of contract at the end of the season don't really need an option to buy it the player decides he wants to be here
  11. No he didn't say anything in regard to a signing happening today or not he just said he could see two coming in before Friday
  12. If we get Brereton it will leave us with Brereton,Armstrong and Graham vying for the strikers role so yeah could do with one more option not bothered If its just a loan or loan to buy. Hope they hurry up and announce Brereton though as until he puts pen to paper and the club announce it then always a doubt that it won't happen.
  13. Not sure but Mowbray saying he could be fit for Sunday
  14. Sharpe tweeting a possibility of two more signings before deadline, not sure if he is including Brereton
  15. Too many reports coming in for nothing to be in it. Even Karanka after the Forest match admitted he was off
  16. Don't think so I doubt he would have been thrown In anyway he hasn't played a minute this season expect we won't see him until after the international break
  17. Maybe end of the season if both parties are happy a deal can be done.Although maybe Mowbray has that Trapp earmarked to come in. If Reed impresses I'm sure a deal could be done with Southampton, seems to be well down the pecking order for midfield and at 23 he is at an age where Southampton will want to make a decision over him, I'd expect him to be sold in the summer unless Southampton get relegated and decide they need him
  18. Exciting team Mogga is putting together. Nice blend of experience and talented youth.I echo what other posters have said I hope Brereton is given time to settle and doesn't have too much expectation from the fan base. Mowbray has said it's about building brick by brick and added 1 or 2 pieces of the jigsaw each season. First time in ages I feel the club is going in the right direction. Positive result Sunday and then the international break which is coming at the perfect time for us.If the injured players can be back by the 15th of September Mowbray is going to be spoilt for choice picking the first 11 and bench
