20 million is no good for our promotion chances if we can't spend it. It's too late into the window to entertain any offers for Armstrong. Personally don't see any Prem team bidding what we would want for Armstrong now.The teams looking to sign players are targetting the like of King and Sarr
-
Or gives him a headache as Lenihen isn't guaranteed to be fit
-
Mount is a good young player but he isn't a better player or in better form than Grealish. Castagne will be moving to left back for Leicester when Perreira is back.He was bought to replace Chillwell.

Bournemouth have rejected a 13 million West Ham bid for King 'Bournemouth reject West Ham's £13m King offer' https://www.skysports.com/share/12101595

Rumours that Williams is the Republic of Ireland player who has tested positive for Covid
-
Media saying King asking for 90 grand a week if true then it would be quite an expensive deal to do
-
Has he not been fit?As Shaw has been first choice and now Telles has joined Williams will be further away from the first 11. They were talking to Southampton about loaning him out,I heard that it fell through as Southampton wouldn't commit to guaranteed playing time. I just think if he was genuinely in United's thoughts to play this season then signing a left back wouldn't have been a priority to them. Not saying he won't make it at United as he has looked very good but if it's only going to be cup games and under 23s for him then surely it would be better he is loaned out until at least January
-
He will be playing under 23 football for the year if he doesn't go out on loan this season. He is already behind Shaw and they have just signed Telles who will be ahead of him this year too. Not saying we will sign him as we probably wouldn't pay the proportion of his wages that United would want but wouldn't be surprised to see him move to a championship club at least till January.Agree he looks to have a bright future in the game
-
They wouldn't guarantee playing time I heard was the reason it didn't happen. He is currently behind Telles and Shaw so don't see him playing a lot for the first team this year. They would probably want a good portion of his wages paying that would most likely rule us out if he is made available

The papers linking Ryan Manning with a move to West Ham for 5 million
-
That article suggest they have lowered the asking price to 10 million

We did offer Dack a new deal he didn't sign and discussions ongoing. The season we came up he was offered a new deal and Mowbray said discussions ongoing. We can't force him to sign and we can't afford to just give him what he wants either as good a player he is no guarantee he will come back the same player after such an injury If he doesn't sign a new deal between now and season end then I presume the club will be activating the extra year and then trying to sell him.
-
And that's where he is played in new system. The two either side of the central striker ain't playing as traditional wingers
-
Brereton does have an assist and his performances have been good this season. Agree that Dolan has had more of an impact and his crossing has been good.Neither of them should be dropped
-
Dack has another 12 months aftwr this season. They have said they have tried to get Dack to sign another contract but as of yet he hasn't.We have a wage ceiling,if the rumoured bid of 15 million January before last from West Brom is true then you would expect that they would be able to offer higher wages than we can. Plus Dack has been out for 9 month with a serious injury no guarantee he will come back the same player. The contracts need sorting out no doubt but we have absolutely no idea of what sort of discussions are happening behind the scenes. We can't just pay the player whatever they ask for we tried that in past giving out long term high cost contracts and ended up paying for it for years and in embargo
-
Yeah well to be fair we hardly expected Dack to stay around forever if we don't look like getting promoted so the year option is good protection if they do decide to part ways next summer. Even if a player has a four year contract if they want to leave then nothing really clubs can do about it these days. Plus the club has a wage ceiling, bit hard to convince a player to sign a new contract for say 20k a week when they know they can get 30+ elsewhere. Before Dack got injured the club had been talking to him about a new contract he didn't sign anything most likely because he knows he can get more money elsewhere
-
Leicester probably want to let him out on loan ,they have Pereira to come back yet so Castagne and Pereira will most likely be first choice with Justin and Fuchs the cover . I'd prefer a permanent deal for a player but from what I have seen of Thomas would suit or style with his attacking play could be a good option if it is to be only loans
-
That young left back they have Luke Thomas looked very good in the games IV seen him play wouldn't be surprised if it was him
-
It's not anyone making it up.Its a fact the club has a 12 month extension, there is nothing Dack can do about it.kaminski has a similar year option. There is nothing the player can do to stop the year clause activating if the club decide to renew for a year. It's happened before at Rovers and at other clubs so dont understand how you ain't convinced?
-
But what do you expect from Mowbray and the recruitment team? You claim we are in deep trouble financially and have to make savings of 15-20 million and in your opinion will have to sell a couple of our better players? So by your logic you must believe that Mowbray and the recruitment team have a very difficult job. They are meant to sign players to sustain a promotion challenge with a minuscule budget and make savings of 15-20 million by selling our better players. Funny thing is for a man who regularly criticizes our transfer dealings and claim our squad is poor you still predict us to win 4 or 5 nil every game?
