  1. They sold a centre half to Bristol City for 5 million. Also speculation that Waghorn will be off for another reported 5 million.
  2. I'd like Armstrong but only if the fee and his wages are reasonable. 2-3 million would be reasonable in today's market but wouldn't be bringing him in if his wages are anywhere close to 20k a week and he expected that here. Did well for us last season but in his previous loan spells in the championship he struggled and was inconsistent. Things didn't work out at all last season at Bolton for him and at Barnsley he had some good games but was inconsistent. Maybe Mowbray is the man to get the best out of him but if we don't have much to spend then I'd favour a loan move for Armstrong over a permanent deal
  3. Have you had any other texts from your pal who said about Kent and a striker signing? IS he usually reliable or was he just winding you up?
  4. Maybe Mowbray was impressed with Whartons development under the Cowley brother's and Wharton enjoyed his spell with them. I get what your saying about league one but still him being loaned out is best for everyone at this point.
  5. He wouldn't have been given a 3 year contract last week if that was the case. What's better for him and us long term , him sat on the bench here occasionally filling in when Lenihan,Mulgrew,Williams and probably Downing are unavailable. He will play every week for Lincoln it's a good move for all concerned
  6. You must be getting a bit anxious now over the lack of activity.?I was relaxed but it's dragging on now, players are moving ,players who would most likely be within our budget and we arnt seeing anyone even being linked.I would have definitely been happy to see Wildschut here good signing for Bolton. If it was true that Mowbray wanted Kent then it doesn't bode well losing out to Rangers. We have a decent enough run of fixtures to begin with but with the lack of signings and with the season less than two weeks away we are leaving hardly anytime for them to settle in,would have been good to hit the ground running not gonna happen if we are bargains buying last day of window
  7. Good player but he spends a lot of his time out injured. Will probably be on big enough money aswell
  8. Dack deserved more money. In your work place if you proved yourself to be one of the most effective employees would you not think you deserve as much/more than a co-worker who isn't as effective as you? I get where your coming from but his performances are worthy of better terms. He signed from Gillingham I can't imagine he was on massive money when he joined and has proven himself as our top performer
  9. If it was any of the teams who got relegated from the premier league last season then the deal would already be dome imo. Going off what he has said all the evidence points toward a club with not much money hence all the talk of paying the fee in instalments
  10. Sun article from Nixon saying Kent going to Rangers
  11. Can I ask why you think he would be such a bad signing? Where you saying the same when we signed Chapman last season?
  12. Derby seem to be doing good buisness,Mount and Wilson already in on loan and now close to signing Jozefzoon from Brentford for 2.75 million. Egan has joined Sheffield United for a reported 3 million from Brentford. Clubs are starting to do deals now so hopefully we will hear some news soon
  13. I agree would have been an ideal signing but it may have nothing to do with lack of funds could be that Mowbray just wasn't interested. On another note Nixon is changing his tact big time on Kent.Yesterday we had pulled clear in the race, now it's Rangers back in and Kent may prefer to go there as more chance of playing every week.
  14. Hopefully negotiating with Maddisons agent. We do need to start getting some players over the line, don't want to be going into the first game with only Conway and Bennett as wide options and Graham as our only proven front man.Graham is already struggling with an injury
  15. Apparently according to Nixons Twitter feed(not just him saying it)Wildschut going to Bolton on loan as Wigan wouldn't pay what's needed. Thought they were in dispute for not paying bonus clauses? Would be a good signing. Can only hope that TM has better lined up
  16. Not a chance it would be Roberts in my opinion, the last year has seen him linked with 10 million moves to both Leicester and Southampton. Would be an unreal loan signing but no way do I see it happening
  17. I read it as a winger as the article suggests it would be in preference to Kent who is a wide player.Nmencha is only 19 does look talented, but I'd be more comfortable and more confident if it was Harrison
  18. No not directly but the telegraph are running with a story that we want to take a Manchester City wide man on loan but the move has been held up due to the player in question going to the States with City on their pre season tour
  19. Is he not a striker?I think it could be the Harrison who someone else suggesged
  20. Payne is a good signing for Bradford. They also signed Scannell from Huddersfield today another good signing for league one. Could be a decent bet for promotion next season
  21. Multiple player of the month awards and player of the year is all the proof you need to know you are right.
  22. I'm not a big fan of loans either unless they have an option to buy attached to them. But I suppose it depends on the quality of the loan player in question.Hughill has done it in the championship so like you say probably be a que for him. We have been stung with loans in the past but last year we did use the loan market well.Chapman, Armstrong,Downing,Payne and Antonnson all played their part.Harper was the only one that did nothing
