Surely the club wouldn't be still in for him if they haven't had encouragement that a deal can be done. Be a farce if we spend all loan window chasing him and not get him.We would have moved on to other targets by now If we weren't confident of getting Brereton.I mean surely? But we need to be offering a take it or leave it offer now, it's probably this deal holding up our other deals as we don't know how much will be left in the kitty after Brereton or another striker.

If we do sign him for that sort of money then surely Mowbray will have to be starting him. It's all well and good thinking he can spend a year learning under Graham but if we pay over 5 million then Mowbray will have to play him. Those players will want huge wages though.They will all be on 30grand a week at least already

He's the next Pele mate.I have it from a reliable source that both us and Real Madrid have agreed deals with Forest and the player is 80% certain he wants to come here but his agent is trying to lean him toward going to Madrid so Brereton has asked Mowbray for the weekend to think about it.

This deal must have been going on well before deadline day because I can't believe Mowbray would have left it go until the last day of the window and then keeping on upping bids reportedly now to the tune of 8 million l. I know Mowbray called bullshit it on it but honestly what Nixon said about Mowbray not receiving extra backing till later in the window does seem plausible. Yeah me too been over it twice and no mention of it being 50% we will sign both Gallagher and Brereton. Surely this Brereton deal is close to a conclusion one way or the other.

We only play 1 up front though, if we signed both then it would leave Gallagher,Brereton,Graham and Armstrong fighting it out for one spot. I know any of Gallagher,Armstrong and Brereton can play wide in the the 3 behind but why not just buy an actual winger, Chapman or Maddison. Agreed and this money has probably only been made available on the condition it's spent on someone with re-sale value, I doubt Mowbray would be given the go ahead to spend this sort of money on a 28-29 year old. Brereton would be an exciting signing seen him a few times and looks a talent.But would be looking elsewhere if they are wanting more than 6 million.If we are still negotiating after being turned down deadline day then the club must be confident a deal can be done. Could do worse than bringing him in on loan to play as one of the two behind our front four.His passing is quite good and would help in getting the ball to our more creative players like Dack. Would prefer someone younger and permanent but think that ship has sailed to be honest if we are to bring Any one in on a loan to buy deal (I have my doubts that we will) then I think it will be a striker
