  1. Bayes said we won't be hearing from the manager today, no pre match presser
  2. What do you think of Butterworth Parson?A chance of making it?
  3. I'm surprised we haven't heard anything from Mowbray. Was there no pre match presser this week?
  4. In Maddisons case they already have a replacement in.They brought 16 players in this summer. The chairman has admitted he will be moving on
  5. Most deals are structured that way thought. Not many transfers are paid all up front
  6. If they sign Bolaise on loan he won't be in the squad I suspect
  7. Exactly this and don't Waggot and Mowbray have a close working relationship. I know not everyone is a fan of Nixon and I certainly take everything he says with a shovel of salt but he is making out that Venkys authorised further funds so maybe with extra funding we changed tact and looked for a higher calibre and more expensive acquisitions but ran out of time. We can only wait and see what Mowbray says about it. Would have thought we would have heard something by now tho
  8. Mowbray isn't stupid though he would have known the likes of Freeman (qpr star man last season) and brereton a promising young player would cost 4mill + in today's market do you think he would have wasted his time bidding for them if we only had 1 million or 2 million to spend? We are all gutted no permanent signings came in but Mowbray has stated many times there is money to spend. He has been nothing but honest since he got here
  9. It's the buisness done before that put the breaks on any spending. As much as I'm thankful that the arrival of Shabby Singh brought an end to Steve keans reign, we wasted ridiculous amounts of money in the market offering huge contract to has beens and Portuguese youngsters
  10. Whoever is brought in on loan i hope it's not a case of waiting till deadline day. Hopefully some news next week we need a bit of quality in key areas
  11. Anyone any idea what time Mowbray is doing his presser? Will be interesting what the big man has to say about the window
  12. Just my opinion but would rather someone younger brought in.Would imagine Martin is on 20k plus a week added to the fact his attitude is questionable I wouldn't be keen on the deal. Martin has been available 2 summers now and he has chosen to stick around l,collect his wage and not play
  13. Martin would be a good signing but would he settle for coming on in the last half hour or when Graham is out.Il be honest they are of a similar standing if we do have 4 mill to spend I'd rather it be kept for someone younger who can develop and take over the reins from Graham next season and beyond. Martin's attitude is questionable too refused to play at Fulham when on loan as he wanted to go back to Derby when McLaren was re-appointed. Last season he preffered to pick up his wage and sit on the sidelines rather than go out on loan when Sunderland and a couple of other teams made offers
  14. As disappointed as I am about no permanent signings being brought in yesterday, Swansea had a shocking window. The only have 1 recognised centre half
  15. Yeah but will the players be any Good?If they are unlikely we will get them with a view to buy. Can see Gallagher coming in (without the option to buy) and Chapman. Maybe that Hector from Chelsea as the cb.
  16. It has'nt changed, teams where always able to sign players on loan with a view/fixed fee obligation to buy in next window.Wednesday did it with Rhodes. The only difference this year is the premier league window closes early. The better players who may become available can still move abroad up to the 31st
  17. Obviously disappointed yesterday. We weren't the only club to miss out on deals though and leave things until the last minute. Take boro for example, missed out on Besic,Bolaise and Freeman.Although I'm reading this morning they are still hopeful of getting the first 2 on loan. If we really do have the money to spend 5 million on one single deal then the fault can only lay at the recruitment team and Mowbray's door, bad planning if we have had this money to spend all summer, setting out sights to high whilst clubs like Ipswich and Bolton added Edwards and Wildschut 2 players who would have undoubtedly improved our first 11 and wouldn't have cost much
  18. One thing I will say looking at it a lot of teams have struggled getting people in today. Swansea look really short and I don't think Boro brought in anyone despite being in for Besic,Freeman and Bolaise. Not many signings in the championship today that make me envious.
  19. Yes but if we believe that we are bidding 4 and 5 million it suggests there is money available and we would still be FFP compliant. If true then the club has missed out on a couple of targets today, I'm sure Mowbray is dissapointed so why wouldn't the fans?
  20. So your not dissapointed that we had 4-5 million to spend on a player (if true) but have missed out on our targets. If we have that level of funding then the manager must be as gutted as most fans not to at least get 1 over the line today
  21. At least when we go with our begging bowl to Southampton for Gallagher they are more likely to loan him to us with Ings looking likely for Southampton
  22. Yes I said that earlier but what I meant was say brereton for instance If that just didn't get done in time?Or Maddison who has a fixed fee in his deal and wants to leave Sharpe saying Forest wanted in excess of 5 mill for Brereton anyway and wasn't happening
  23. If we go indeed have that sort of money then I don't see why the club can't do a loan deal with an obligation or at least with a view on our favour to make the move permanent on jan 1st and announce the signing that way
  24. Or those players prove their worth too much and either get brought back by their parent clubs or sold on to a club who can pay a higher transfer fee and pay bigger wages
  25. He has played 53 times in the championship. Karanka doesn't fancy him doesn't make him a bad player
